Whenever I see another NFL thread I just shake my head and think, "There's a guy with commitment issues."  XS could have easily tucked it in here, but alas, it wasn't to be.  The commenters simply didn't want to have to log in every week, that's my guess.  This post proves beyond reasonable doubt, P3P has too much time on his hands, and a deep appreciation for salad and punk.

 

Tommy Fleetwood would love MN, and giving 2.5 points to Chicago seems like a no brainer.  Now, if Kirk had a little gumption, he might be a MN icon like these young men.  But he isn't because he doesn't know how to bring it, and frankly he hasn't played all that well.  The Jets are Campbells chicken soup for the NFL, and Chicago is more like Chunky Chicken Noodle.  Give me MN giving the points.  Kirk, this lesson is for you, study hard.

 

 

I also don't see the Seahawks being defeated again.  They are heading to LA, and they just didn't play well last week.  I know, Aaron Donald is a beast, but its one guy, and DK seems to be the real deal.  That guy carried me in my fantasy league last season.  So, I am taking the points and picking the Seahawks.

 

So I get a panicked call from our daughter over the weekend.  Her basement apartment was flooding, and thankfully it was just a pipe issue out in the yard so there was poop water throughout the bathroom and some of the carpet.  We were able to secure a plumber on Saturday afternoon at weekend rates and a mitigation specialist as well.  The plumber says, "You know if I wait until Monday it'll be much less expensive."  And my wife the negotiator says, "If I am calling on a Saturday, its the real deal.  When can you get here?"  Then on Sunday, the Steelers looked like poop.  In fact, one could say they were frolicking in poop water until the 4th quarter.  I think I could have lit up the porous Steeler D.  They escaped their one super dud game with a win.  I certainly hope they don't play Cincinnati with the same laissez faire attitude.  Anyway, this is for them, and hopefully lesson learned.  If you participated in the 80's thread, you know this was deep in my wheelhouse.  Now, as an older guy, I look back and see the frustration, BB will see it the same way.  Steelers win and I am giving the points.  EDIT: if Big Ben is truly on Covid restriction I will change my pick to the under.  Ole Mason sure can sling those 2 yard passes.  If BB does play, I am sticking with my original pick.  Thanks, Commish.

I don't have a rooting interest in some of these picks

I would love to see Tiger on the leaderboard so Jim Nantz will have to google superlatives that he did not use last year. 

I think there will be more Asian golfers on the leaderboard as we progress into the 2020's

The Masters has a lot of meaning for me. A lot of golf outings happened every year with 3 golf buddies since our single years. Unfortunately we have not always been able to connect over the last few years.  But I have initiated our yearly Masters pool that we usually pay up in beers at the clubhouse as we watched history being made.  We would take top 3 cumulative scores but if more than two missed a cut we would give you a DQ and if you picked the actual winner it would mean a cash payout from the other two players usually 20 bucks each.  So you might lose the cumulative pool and pick the winner and break about even.  

All in all a fun day to be had.
