TM P770/790 vs Srixon ZX7/ZX5

I have some ordered:  PW-7i ZX7 and 6i and 5i in the ZX5.

I really like my Z945's (found a mint set of heads a month or so ago and threw them on some Recoil 110 F4 shafts I had in the garage), but Trackman showed a slight increase in ball speed with the ZX7's.  Also, it kind of messes with my little brain that most Srixon Pros are in the 7 series and I am on the range banging the blades.  If I get a little forgiveness that would be great.

Yes luckily I noticed this on their sit as well. I believe it is for both steel and graphite, they have a notice on their site but it does not jump out at you and can be easily missed

Not a lot of clear answers here...

 

I hit them both side by side. Also mixed in the Apex pro and Mizuno MMC. I’d say you can separate them into two subgroups of the Mizuno/Srixon and TM/Cally. 
 

if you’re looking for that techy club with a good look the TM/Cally ones both check that box. I’d say they were almost identical to me with numbers. Apex pro was much better looking and had a better feel for me, (770 was clicky) but those things are entirely  subjective. Toss up. 
 

Zx7 and MMC weren’t as close. Zx7 spun less and felt slightly more forgiving on mishits. I much preferred the feel of the Zx7, and I already spin it plenty so I went with the Srixon. This isn’t to say the MMc felt bad, they’re amazing too,  I just preferred what I felt was a “heavy and deep” strike feel of the zX7. Haven’t really felt that before. 

 

zx7 vs 770 isn’t really a comp. If the zx7 is in your league, it’s a far superior club. I’d also say the ZX5 is better than 770 and that is a closer comp. The zx5 sits right in between the 770 and 790, but with better feel. Launches higher than 790, but isn’t as consistent as 770. 
 

The good news is, even though the 770 was my least favorite, it’s still fantastic.
