Is Ping G425 Max driver more forgiving than G410 Plus?

True, but  the think you need to keep in perspective is that all of these drivers are forgiving, compared to most brands Ping has a much higher MOI by design.  Most companies go for ball speed, so they look longer on a LM.  I still play the G400, not max, and think it's one of the most forgiving drivers I have ever hit, I preferred it to the Max for whatever reason.

The head shape and size of the regular 400 are much more pleasing to my eye

How much hot melt (how many grams) would I need to add to make a difference, in your experience?

I reached out to quite a few people on this before doing mine and ended up adding 4 grams which is equivalent to 2 wing weight points.  I put my hot melt in the middle of the sole.  Some people said for most dramatic change in sound to place on crown because it is the thinnest surface. I don't know if 2 grams would make a difference but I wanted to keep my CG low. Due to the difference in length from changing the Arccos grip out for the midsize CP2 grip the swing weight came out about D3.5.  FYI If you have an Arccos grip on your club you will lose about 3/8 of an inch in length when changing to a standard grip  due to do thickness of the butt end of the grip.  My club now plays at 45.25 which I prefer anyways.

I've found with my 410 that the shaft has made a big difference in the forgiveness, or at least how I perceive it.  With the stock Evenflow Black, solid strikes produced very good results, but my common miss, toe jam, produced a quick, low, left result.  Not disastrous, but not good.  With the Tour AD XC, toe strikes still want to produce a bit of a pull, but the flight is much higher, and the I get much more out of it.  As of now, I can't imagine the 425 being much better, but I'm sure I'll want to find out after my next poor driving round!

I've played both and the G425 Max is much more forgiving.  My last round I only missed 1 fairway (bad swing). Toe hits are the most forgiving of any driver I've ever played by a mile.

I have mine set to -1.5 with weight on toe which really mitigates left side misses and the lower loft also compensates for the high launch shaft Alta 55. The Alta 55 is surprisingly good and debunks the myth of noodle stock shafts for me.

Finally replacing my Ping K15 with the G425 Max with Aldila White Rogue 130 shaft.

Can't miss a fairway with this thing.  I carry it about 240, and it has corrected my slice (weight set to draw at 11.5).

I still have my k15 in the closet, and that's where it's been since I got the 400max. I need to get on a LM somewhere and see if there is any reason to look at 425 max or maybe even the LST. I have the itch, but just ordered a ventus black to try in the 400. I played a course last weekend that was somewhat wet, but not bad. A lot of my drives were spinning up so high that when it landed it would take divots and the ball would be right beside it or even behind it (once). Looking for ways to bring my flight/spin down some.
