2021 e6

I auditioned the revamped e6 in Phoenix yesterday- mid 60's with a one to one and a half club wind most of the day. My current ball is the titleist trufeel but also have played the srixon soft feel and the top flite hammer control.

Back to the e6. Of all the balls I noted it is bay far the highest launching. On the 10th hole I hit the e6 and tru feel side by side into a one club wind- same trajectory except I had my driver at 11.5 deg for the tru feel and 9.5 for the e6. They ended side by side distance wise.

The e6 is even straighter than the trufeel which is a very straight ball. In fact I only hit one draw all day with the e6 and that was because I moved the club to the draw setting and tried to hook it. It moved maybe 10 yards right to left into a straight head wind.

Iron distances were similar. I think the trufeel spins a little more on full shots for me.

The biggest difference was around and on the green. The e6 is very lively chipping and putting. I actually putted one off the green when the pin was near a false front. I felt the ball behaved a little like a superball in the feel department similar to the first supersoft version.

So for now I see no reason to switch to the e6. I expect it will help those that need help getting the ball in the air and those who primarily bump and run their short game shots.

I will audition the next e12 when it comes out.

Thanks, for the review Munichop. You didn't get a reply, since you didn't mention TP5 or ProV, lol. I am with you on these two piece balls! They get the job done at a lower price. I don't think anyone would complain, if they gave the Soft Feel a chance.

I totally agree! I gamed the TF D2 Feel or any ionomer 3 piece that was on sale (Diablo Tour, etc). The only reason I'm gaming the TP5 is a friend is a Taylor Made rep and he gave me around 5 boxes. I still have 4 boxes of the Diablo Tour, 3 15 ct. boxes of the D2 Feel and about 2 sleeves of the Slazenger $Money$ ball (under rated ball btw). I've shot some of my best scores with a D2 Feel. I'm a 16 HC trying to get it to a 10-12 this year.
