Ping G425 Max 3 wood vs G400 Max 3 wood...any comparisons?

Was curious if anyone can compare them by experience. I currently have the new G425 driver and irons and love them. I compare my old G400 Max driver V’s my new G425 Max driver and the G425 wins especially in forgiveness and dispersion on off center hits...the dispersion is tighter and off center hits really hold the distance compared to the G400 Max....and the same applies to the irons, I had the F irons previously 

 

was wondering if the 3 wood was the same..I’m guessing yes??

400 3 wood were low launching,  high spinning in general 

 

425 should help launch - which should translate into better descent angles over the 400 alone. These new 425 have the eerie feel of the tour edge exotics shooting bullets, with that new rolled face

 

If your present 3 wood fits perfectly - then I see no reason to change though

I think the Max fairway woods are the biggest upgrade in the 425 line.  I found the425 3w to be significantly better than the 400 and 410.  It's long, launches easier and is more consistent and forgiving.  Off the deck in particular is where the improvements are most noticeable.  Totally subjective, but I think it looks better.  The sound and feel isn't the greatest but the performance outweighs that in my opinion.

Having played both and currently the 425 Max I will second this response above.  G400 was good, but the 425 Max is a cannon.  Almost like a mini driver off the tee and incredible off the deck.  The sound is not the best, but everything else the 425 does makes up for it.  Looks great, launches high and flies far...  I am really enjoying this club, it's a significant upgrade over the G400.

Yes. G400 Max costs $229 new, ~ $180 used. The G425 Max costs $299.

 

(Note: No Max option in G400).

425 all day..

 

Cracked the face on a 410, Ping had a new 425 in the bag in under 2 weeks..

 

The 425 is Unbelievably easier to launch and just wants to go straight. I really liked my 410 but this 425 is better all around. Oh & no turbulators 👌

 

Had the G400 when they came out & it left my bag quickly.
