C taper players what in wedges

I play the c taper 125 in all my irons 

what is everyone else doing for there wedges ?  I was thinking going 130 c taper but getting a 8 iron shaft and cutting it down.  So basically a 2 time soft step.  Any ideas ?

Play Ctaper 130’s ss 2x all the way from 4 iron through my 50 and 54. Vokey shaft in 60. Comfortable with partial shots / taking a little off all the way up the set so just kept the feel consistent

I had been playing PX 6.0’s in all my irons and all wedges, and was looking for just a bit more feel in my sand and lob wedge. Some people suggested  soft stepping the PX 6.0 (which I still want to try but don’t have any decent club builders near me that I trust), x100 in wedges- both straight in and soft stepped), or going 1/2 flex down so PX 5.5. The easiest thing for me to try was ordering a sand and lob wedge with PX 5.5 in both, and so far I am really liking the new sm8’s with the 5.5’s in them. Gives me the same PX feel that I am used to and prefer, while giving me much more feel on partial shots and chipping around the green and out of sand. I’ve noticed an increase in spin on all shots with these 2 wedges and I am really enjoying the feel. So you could try soft stepping the c Taper 125’s or maybe try a C Taper 120 straight in. The roughly 5 grams of weight difference is only slightly noticeable on full swing shots with the 54, but hasn’t been a problem for me.

I played C Taper Stiff for a long time. Actually used S Taper stiff in my wedges.

In my irons I play C-Taper Lite STIFF flex and in the wedges C-Taper Lite REG flex.  C-Taper's in general feel "stiffer" than stepped iron shafts, so for me the REG flex is more like R+ in wedges.  Have played both the KBS Hi-Rev 2.0 and KBS 610 in wedges, but I seem to get more feedback from the C-Taper's.

I play C Taper S+ in my irons. I've played the C taper S in my wedges for a while, but recently switched for C Taper S LITE.

 

I prefer a lighter feeling wedge and it fits the bill. 

 

I don't like the heavy wedge concept.

I have S+ in my irons and S+ in my wedges. See no reason to change it just for wedges. I hit soft shots with my irons too from time to time.

Might be a dumb question, but for using the same shaft from your irons in your wedges, did you use the PW shaft through the rest of the wedges or the SW shaft in your wedges? Thinking about changing my wedge shafts to my iron shafts since I like the c tapers in my irons.

Not a dumb question, but I don’t know the answer to it.

C-Taper R+ in my irons, and I have C-Taper R in my wedges.  Honestly I have not felt a better shaft for my swing for the wedges.  Now the irons, thats a different story, lol.  Hence why I am going thru an iron fitting currently.

C-Taper 120 stiff in my irons, and S400 shafts in my wedges

Hard to beat 610's in wedges if trying to lower spin.  Use less tape as grips will generally play larger than normal.
