Tour AD-Di but, Tour issue? Is that even a thing?

Hello friends, I recently got a great deal on a new Tour AD DI 7x black edition on ebay from a trusted seller but in the description they said it was a tour issue shaft? I am fully aware of tour issue clubs and play a few at the moment but never heard of tour issue shafts for Graphite Design. Is this a thing?

I have never heard of Graphite Design doing "tour issue" shafts.

 

While it is possible that the clubhead+ shaft came off a tour van, and the seller split the clubhead (which would have had the appropriate serial number) and shaft and sold both separately... it is more likely that the seller was being a bit creative in the listing of this shaft.

 

That being said, there's no such thing as a cheaply-made DI (or any of the Graphite Design Tour AD model line).  They are about as consistent as they come, and the build quality is excellent.

Probably the creativity kicking in. Worked on me I guess. Love the AD DI

Its an awesome shaft, and if you got a great deal on it, I wouldn't lose any sleep over the "tour issue" thing.

Any shaft issued to a tour player off a tour van or otherwise is essentially ‘tour issue’. They aren’t saying it’s tour only/exclusive.

I believe when the DI black version came out it was for tour only and then was later released for retail buyers. In that case he could technically be right but it’s still the same shaft.
