Question for GSPro users

I'm in the end stages of finishing my simulator build in my garage and planning on going with GSPro.

 

For those who use GSPro I've searched far and wide but can't find an answer.. Can you download courses and play them completely offline? My detached garage doesn't have internet connection and am hoping its as simple as downloading courses which sounds like it may be the case.

 

If not I will likely have to get some sort of a hotspot setup but hoping I won't have to do that.

Don't know if that will work as GSPro on every start up checks for updates online. Check with them they have great tech support.

the computer needs online access at gspro startup to to check for the license. But, you can just use your phone as a wifi hotspot, do the license check, then turn off hotspot, all courses are downloaded to computer so it only needs online access to check the license, not after that

Thanks both for the info. That is easy enough -- can just start it up on the laptop inside before heading out to the garage

Not only can you play offline local games, you can choose any hole on any course to practice on. For example, you can play 17 at saw grass, 18 on Pebble etc. I’m a range rat and absolutely love this feature.

Looking at going with GSpro. Wondering if anyone has had success using a non-gaming laptop or computer. I have a decent HP laptop but it has the onboard intel graphics card.

They just introduced a new very low performance mode but even that would be pushing it for onboard intel graphics. You could always try it out, see if it runs okay, and if there are problems they give you 7 days for a refund.

Windows 11 Home

Running GS Pro at 1920x1200 High graphics.

It runs all but about 2 courses at high and those will run on the lite setting. 

So try out on trail for 7 day I think you will be good. 

I think memory is more important than the having a graphics board.

Everything GSPro can be found on their Discord Server along with a great community that will answer any questions you have.
The LITE mode is new, not much discussion around it yet but this is very interesting that GSP works on a machine without a dedicated GPU.
