Be a little careful with that.  One thing about armlock putters is that you'll likely need more loft, due to the amount of shaft lean.  I was fitted, and mine has 6 degrees of shaft lean, and if I would have purchased a Mezz.1 Max, it would have been made with 5.5 degrees.  Shaft lean is a fitted value with these, not just some default value.

Ok, reality check for me. No armlock for me. My broomstick is working just fine. I got worried after 1 bad putting round and some bad practice. Tweaked my grip and all is well in the world.

 

30 putts today with GIR at 62%. So many putts were close to falling, just a bad read. My DF 2.1 Broom is still the best putter I ever used. I hush and move on now.

With the forward setup practiced with my DF again. Everything rolls so true. In fact, it shows I was compensating for my missed with my old putter when reading greens. I now need to recalibrate my green reading. The magic is very close to happening. Near the end of my session my lag putting really started to come along.

Congrats. Stay after it and they will start falling. If I could read a green halfway I would be down at 25 putts a round. Lol

I received my new DF 2.1 a few weeks ago but didn't want to post until I got to play a round with it. Well it was pretty amazing.

 

First I got it in blue with white accra shaft and requested a combination sightline of #18 and #19. Thanks LAB for going the extra mile.

 

First round on a Pete Dye course and I had 23 putts total and 11 1 putts. I was pretty amazing. My best putting round last year was 27 putts and I was statistically awful from 5-15 feet. That's not going to be an issue going forward.

 

To say I'm thrilled is a massive understatement.

Awesome first round with it. 23 putts is crazy good. The thing is with the DF 2.1, there is no honeymoon period…. It just keeps performing like that. My putting stats have improved like crazy since I got mine. Enjoy making more putts!

Ugh…. “Accidentally” stopped by PGA SS and they had a DF 2.1 Armlock there. Spent time with it and it just stupid automatic. I have experience with a non- LAB Armlock prior so I know how to setup and use one. This darn thing just rolled the ball so online. Geez. I was extremely impressed. 
 

Rolled the LINK too and it was really good for a normal length putter. Also rolled the regular Mezz Max. Felt the best to me by far, but just not as automatic as the others. My DF Broomstick is a little nervous right now.

I now have 4 rounds in with my DF and I'm very excited for the season. Two of the rounds were played in 20+ mph wind and the greens in central KY are not close to prime form yet.

 

Per Arccos I've averaged 26 putts per round with 8.3 one putts. My strokes gained putting is +2.2 compared to a 5 handicap.

 

Heading to Alabama to play some of the RTJ Trail courses in a couple of weeks. Can't wait.

How long did it take to get from order date to delivery?

Started with the DF2.1, loved the results but my friends hated the look, and vowed to never play with me if I brought it out again. It was too ugly for them and a little for me too. So got the Mezz.1 last year and putted well with it until the beginning of this year, when I started struggling to get both distance and direction. Just couldn't line it up. Went and got the link.1 from the PGA superstore standard lie angle. Had one really good round but just couldn't get any consistency out of it. Head felt too light and lie angle was off. So went back to my old broomstick which had Bettinardi mid-blade on it, lie angle of 78 and cut the shaft to 38 inches. Loved the way it rolled but the head was still light (~380grams) and found my self struggling with tempo. So I order a Broomstick DF2.1 with #20 alignment 42 inches, from the outlet store. Cut it down to 38 inches and slapped on a Garsen max standard grip (~60grams). I use a modified armlock technique to putt. Got it a week before an invitational, which we almost won had it not been for a few sandbaggers lurking around. Let me end by saying this; I don't care how ugly the DF2.1 looks. It's the best damm putter out there. The Mezz and Link are cute. I would re-consider the Link1 if they ever came up with a head ~500grams heavy and possible 78/79 degree lie angle. But for me it's DF2.1 all day. My new saying "It ain't ugly if putts are dropping!!!"

@labgolf Thank you to everyone who posted in this thread.  A couple weeks ago I noticed all the torque in my mallet putter and the face swinging closed during the stroke.  This lead me on an internet journey that brought me to LAB putters.  

 

This thread specifically helped me decided to not only pull the trigger on getting one but to also choose the DF2.1 over the MEZZmax.  Decided I needed to do it right and went to Club Champion to get fitted properly (If I'm spending over $700 it better be perfect! lol)

 

A DF with 36.5" shaft and 73* lie angle is what I need.  The only thing left is the grip.  Still confused over the 1.5* and 3*.  The SAM putt lab showed me delofting my original putter 1.1* and having 2.9* of effective loft at impact.  The PressII 1.5 grip gave me 1* of effective loft and the PressII 3.0 gave me negative loft.

 

My ball position is just left of center (meaning the edge of the ball sits on the center line of my stance)  

 

Is there something that needs adjusting on the club?  Different grip?  I really don't want to change ball position.
