What’s causing my inside takeaway?

Here’s a video of my current swing below. If I try to keep the club face outside of my hands, I feel like my left hand is super cupped on top. Any other advice on how to keep my backswing on plane? Thanks in advance!

Hay man, interesting. I'm sure others - more knowledgeable that I - will probably chime in eventually. If you are lucky @Valtiel might provide some visuals for you.

Ultimately, I can't say a whole lot, but, I'm guessing you struggle with hooks and the occasional block to the right.

This is a position that stands out to me:

From this image, you can see that you've lost posture in your downswing. For me, that is a hips issue. Hips moving towards the ball instead of more "down the line" towards the target.

A "Face-On" view might be helpful to diagnose something like that.

But, there may be other things going on in your backswing that make this move unavoidable. Hopefully, someone else will give you real advice and you can solve your problem. I'm, most likely, full of crap.

As such, I'm interested to hear what others might have to say.

Thanks I appreciate the feedback. Definitely hooks and blocks with the driver when things are moving too fast, the shorter clubs seem to be more in control but trying to figure out what I need to work on to get it out of my system because I definitely feel like something is off in my swing but not sure exactly what to fix/change . TY!

Another way to look at it is when the club gets sucked inside too quickly it’s typically too much top hand driving the backswing. A more active bottom hand may be another way to accomplish the goal.

Right on. I was seeing this too - but didn't have the knowledge or confidence to diagnose.

He's getting the initial takeaway pretty good, but at P2, the club starts coming inside.

At least for me, I find focusing on wrist movements detrimental to my swing. If I focus on the big muscles and movements, those smaller parts of my anatomy tend to do what they need to do.
