... One of the reasons I have always enjoyed that other forum more. There are just a couple of wrx like posters that are argumentative, confrontational and/or snarky for no reason like far too many here, but mostly respectful conversations.

... Haha tell me about it. Nelly missed the cut for the 2nd week in a row and I thought she would come storming back after missing the first one so I bet $5 on a win, $5 on a top 5 and $10 on a top 10. 😱 And first and last time I bet on the men. I bet on Scheffler to finish in the top 5 and top 10. I was up $45 for the year and now I am down $15.

@NJBigFish22 I couldn’t find anywhere to play nearby today. Figured I’d have issues between PERFECT weather, Father’s Day, and not a high concentration of public golf. I didn’t want to drive very far, so didn’t get to tee it up and watched instead.

Unfortunately the lack of public courses is an issue, plus the 5 hour plus rounds aren’t the most fun.  If you head back again, let me know, I should be good to go soon.  Hope wrestling thing was good.

Lucky me. This afternoon a member asked me if I wanted to take a spin in his Ferrari. 

Well heck yeah, and yes I can drive a stick shift sir. 

1998 550 Maranello  V12 with 475 horsepower. 

I took a short video while I was driving through the Biltmore Forest neighborhood and then when I got on the main roads I turned my phone off and opened it up some. I wanted both hands on the wheel when I was cooking!  😉 Man that car had some throw you back in your seat acceleration. What a stunning blue color. Ferrari's are just beautiful works of art.

.... The green is tough but fair. Short is death but it gives you room to error long. It was a very interesting hole before range finders as there were no yardage markers on any holes at CC and no bunkers because you had to make an educated guess to distances. With so much elevation change it was a really cool challenge. #8 being so uphill was a really difficult hole to club correctly.

I will, thank you, and expect this won't be the last trip over here.  The camp check-in went just fine -- it is a short (3 day 2 night) intense deal so I check him out late afternoon Tuesday.  Elite talent there, both coaches and campers so it should be a great experience.

 

Springdale GC looks great, and is something like a 4 minute drive away....but I didn't ask our pro to call, thought Fathers Day would be pretty bad form to ask for the reciprocal, and I couldn't commit to a specific time either, so probably no golf on this short trip.

 

Hope the foot / ankle is healing up fast.

It was an extremely busy weekend where I work. Look at the two photos of the parking lot from Saturday afternoon. We had to Valet cars in the overflow lots. There was a packed golf course, over a hundred people at the pool, the tennis courts were full, and there was a wedding. That front license plate was on the groomsmen's vehicle. There was a good bit of Dead Music around so Pete and MS would have had a good time. I included the bust of Donald Ross because this weekend's US Open that was held just 4 hours south of me in Pinehurst, NC was in my opinion a big success. Congrats to Bryson on the win. His bunker shot on 18 was absolute PURE GOLD!  

 

Thankfully my labor intensive work week is now behind me. I will see now after busting my tail Fri, Sat, and Sunday if I have enough energy left to play two decent rounds of golf. Today the boys and I are playing a course that we last played on March 4th.

My buddy Jordon and the rest of the 150 golf course turf crew volunteers that worked hard all week at Pinehurst got to visit with the US Open trophy on Saturday as they had their afternoon meeting. 💥

My bad. You are correct.  But I just noticed that Xander finished in 7th place so give me five extra points there for a total of 326 points.  I need a personal accountant.
