Leather grip strapping

Does anyone know of a place I can get this? Built another putter and have the underlisting (the rubber tube the strapping wraps around). I wanted to get a leather, soft style of strapping to wrap the grip myself. I've done this before on another putter with handlebar tape for bikes, but wondering if there's something softer and a bit more "purpose built" for golf. Let me know if anyones got any ideas!

I've used Dipell leather bar tape for several putters - it's extremely well skived, so the overlapping is particularly good.

Thanks all for the feedback. I've done the gripmaster one before - and while it felt good, I kind of don't like the colour. It's also pretty expensive to ship with Golfworks in Canada....relative to the cost of the strapping that is. Though I suppose I could always "fill the cart" to make it worth it....I do like the look of the DiPell, maybe I'll try that.

@coops, do you have any photos of your putters wrapped with Dipell tape?

go to ebay and look up grips for hickory clubs, there are some on there, I think that is what you are looking for

and i'll just add i put a couple of layers of ice hockey tape underneath first as the the leather is slightly thinner than the superstroke plastic sh1te - can use grip tape or whatever.

 

The Dipell leather tape is excellent quality - one piece, no splices... and the skiving as i said is great so follow the instructions to get the overlap to lay as it should.

BestGrips does not have any leather strapping.  I have tried to convince Zach to start carrying either strapping or grips like they used to have under the GripmasterUSA days.  He said they will not have any leather wraps going forward.

Sounds like you are very familiar with the product. Which of the grips is shaped most similar to the Lamkin deep etched?

The old leather wrap BestGrips offered under the original GripmasterUSA brand.  I have not purchased any grip from Gripmaster AU.  BestGrips offers a grip I like a lot (the Microperf). The folks at BestGrips have always been great to me.  I have no reason to not be completely loyal to Zach and Miss Susan.  I will always have a BestGrip grip on my woods and irons as long as I am able.

In the past,  I found a baseball bat or tennis racket grip in the sporting good section can give a custom feel without a under listing needed.  Even over the top using Gauze grip tape that self adheres and is cheap.  Only a golfer would spend or $100 on a grip that is rubber! LOL   At least you are talking about leather and something might have need to die to produce.
