Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask but this is my first post. I have an old taylormade burner superfast driver head and I need some help. Does this thing need a ferrule? Is it supposed to have one and if so what kind?

It should be a .350 shaft, so you will need a .350 ferrule (yes, you need the ferrule).

This video may help with installing a ferrule (it is on a steel iron shaft, but same process for a graphite driver shaft)

Ferrule's are purely aesthetic.  So technically it doesn't really need one - it will just look like crap if it doesn't have one.

A .335" tip shaft (and ferrule) can be used with a proper shim.

Burner Superfast driver uses a collared ferrule OEM from taylormade to assist centering a .350 shaft in the hosel. A .350 to .335 ferrule adaptor would have a collar too.

I'd just use a regular .335 ferrule with a shim.   Pick what-ever size you want.

Do you have the shaft you plan to put the head on? Manufacturer, model, flex, weight, tip o.d.?
