Japan Authenticity Feedback

Looking at purchasing a set of Japanese Irons from WhiteGoatStoreJapan, located in Tokyo, Japan. 

 

Has anybody here had dealings with WhiteGoatStoreJapan?

 

Positive? 

 

Negative?

I’ve found that a lot of the JDM sellers on eBay are essentially proxy buyers but charge a significantly higher (priced-in) fee than Buyee/FromJapan/etc.

Hmmmm. Proxy Buyers? 

 

I read into their details on eBay, they have made 1,100+ sales in about 3 years, 190ish 100% Positive Feedback. 

 

I emailed them, I wanted to see one more picture they didn't post with their original Listing. See how that response goes. 

 

Obviously I'm concerned for product authenticity. But everything looks legit.

I've looked at some of their listings, but usually end up back at golfpartnerusa, I can't beat their deals, how well that stuff is packed and 3 day delivery to Michigan. Love that site... too much. lol

Yes. If you look at their listings, there are many different backgrounds in the product photos. Most of these eBay resellers don’t have the product in hand, they only buy the products from the original Japanese seller when an eBay sale has been completed. Essentially proxy buyers since most Japanese sellers refuse to ship overseas. With a little bit of searching you will often find the original yahoo auction listing. The products will be legit, of course.

Ah. Gotcha. Thanks for the explanation. 

 

"Products are legit," yea? You sure? First hand experience? Is there some authenticity paper trail? Something? Anything? 

 

Every single set of Japanese Irons I've purchased, I've purchased directly from an Authorized Dealer. The set I've located are a bit different as they are about 10 years old from their original release and probably 6 or 7 years since they were discontinued. So I can't get from an Authorized Dealer. The set I have found look to be in outstanding condition.

Well, I can't guarantee that 100% of the products will be legit. I've bought a lot of used and new golf equipment from Japan over the years and they are truthful in their product descriptions regarding item conditions, etc. Also never received fakes (Japan in general is quite good about being anti-counterfeit). The least I would do is a reverse image search to try and locate the original Japanese auction (if there even is one). Unless you're fluent in Japanese, e-mailing the store directly is often a futile effort. When you use the bigger proxy services, they'll often act as an interpreter to relay any questions you may have regarding a seller's products.

We will see. Their feedback suggests good communication. They were closed today. Hopefully I hear back tomorrow or Tuesday.

I have purchased many a set of irons from Japan.  Never had an issue with authenticity. 

 

If you have not tried Buyee - yahoo auctions, I would encourage you to check them out. I've lost count over the years how many times I've purchased through them and always been more than happy.

Just received them. Hit them at the range yesterday. Tourstage was always so far ahead of their time.  For a compact CB I'm not sure if there's anything better than these and they're from 2011. Check out what they sold for/ what I paid for them... add $60 for shipping to the US.

It’s incredible how good they are. I ordered two hybrids from them got them to Utah in two days. Hard to believe really. Items are always exactly as described and pricing is very good. Basically my whole set is from them

No issues with authenticity from GolfPartnerUSA? 

 

I looked at their website about 4-5 years back, maybe a touch longer, and I remember scratching my heading and leaving without interest of returning. 

 

But you both seem to speak highly, fill me in!

They guarantee authentic products. It’s their main agenda based on their site and also fliers they ship with your order. I’ve made 8 purchases from them and they have all been authentic and I’ve had zero reason to even question it. They’re top notch.
