I've always wondered if that 50 is bent 2 degrees weak. If not that is a huge gap.

Don't think it is. He's the best wedge player on tour imo so I think he's able to manipulate the face in any which way he wants in order to get hit shots with 2 wedges (non pitching wedge) that most guys need 3 wedges to do

It's always interesting to me to see the pros play so few wedges and still be so so so good with them.  Makes me feel kinda silly for my 5 wedge set up...

Shane definitely fits into the "big man with the soft hands" category and his stats on approach and around the greens seem to intermittently flirt with being elite basically every other year, hah.

Well, the more skilled and creative you are, the fewer clubs you actually need. It's when you have limited reliable shot types that having smaller gaps and flights becomes a more useful option. With 5 wedges and say, two shot types you feel comfortable with, you've got 10 options. Shane Lowry probably can come up with 10 different shots with each of his 3 wedges, if that makes sense

Oh for sure.  I mostly play all my wedges with the P and the G being full swing clubs, 54 for the more roll out chips, 58 for your straight forwards, and the 62 for the short sides.  I'd also say part of it is I don't have access to a bunch of wedges with different grinds pending on the course I'm playing, which we can see he's got a 2nd 58 in the bag, but not sure if its a different grind or just a new one.

From 2019, but mentions the 50 bent to 51.

No problem hitting off tight lies?

None at all, but that’s very player dependent.  I love my 60* full face.  As mentioned above, it’s really easy to manipulate flight and extremely versatile.  Plus, I love the way it frames the ball.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
