This is actually bad for your clubs… get water in places it shouldn’t be… 

 

like seriously bad. 
 

I use head covers transport my clubs.

 

Bag chatter from walking is one thing…. Bag chatter from placing and driving  my clubs in a trunk is unnecessary.

I have well over 200 rounds on my T200, could be sold as “mint’.

 

I don't care if people use them but I don't recommend them for a forged iron head all the time. Back when I first got into golf I bought a nice set of shiny Mizuno blades and couldn't help but use head covers, I was a kid without much money. Mizuno does warn against using them because they can cause rust. Well after like a year using them, some rust spots did show up which surprised me.

OP here. Drove 20 hours this week back and forth to Florida with nary a peep from my bag, which my wife surely wrote glowingly about in her personal journal. Not sure I’ll keep using them but they worked for the long trip.

Headcover hatred is an internet only thing. I used headcovers for the last 18 years, and never heard anyone make a single comment, good or bad, about them.

Yep $18 for a set of neoprene ones that that take 2 seconds to slip on or off and I dont hear anything in the car or walking. I dont see what the issue is.
