I know a couple of kids that have. I feel like there’s a tipping point on how much data I need and that’s carry distance and swing speed. I’m definitely not smart enough to make swing changes based on the available data.

I tend to agree.  That is why I'm leaning towards the GC3.  For the quad, its like buying a used car.  ughhh

Used to have a GC2, considered getting another unit but ultimately just can't justify it.  I hardly ever used the GC2, and most of the time we only used it for distance gapping when getting new shafts or clubs, which was maybe 2x a year. We just use the monitors at the range now whenever we need distance measurements, or borrow one from our coach or pro shop.

I don’t own a quad but have access to one whenever I want. The path, face, and angle of attack have been helpful in conjunction with lessons from his coach.  When he is working on a specific thing and can use the quad to help get feedback. I haven’t looked in a while so I don’t remember what things the quad measures that the GC3 doesn’t.

I use ball flight to tell me what I need to know.

There's definitely something more important that I should be doing.

I’m not good enough to recognize whether driver angle of attack is 1-2 degrees down vs 2-3 degrees up just by seeing ball flight. Or the difference in the tight draws that happen to match up a big path with the right face.
I definitely don’t think a launch monitor is required and no way would I spend the money on a quad. I was just saying having access to those numbers has been really helpful through some specific swing changes

The biggest advantage a launch monitor gives the ability to hit balls indoors and still get feedback. It gave my boys the ability to make some changes during the winter when we could barely get outside.

Current GC2 owner for the better of 4 years (HMT for about 6 months).  Really helped with the swing, gapings and any swing changes that you might to work on.

We've used TGC2019, JNPG, Foresight 2020,  and GSPRO.  Son really enjoyed GSPRO and always played TPC Scottsdale.

FS2020 has the ability to record the shot data  and two cameras at the time. He can then login later and see each one.

All depends on what you are looking for and what you understand in terms of data ect. GC3 is great we had a BLP before I sold it (felt like I was renting it) . GC4 gives you everything and some. But if you just want carry and SS GC3 is your go to. But the GC4 opens doors you might not want open.

We have a trackman 4 for indoor sim, but also we bought GC4 using this program. Having previously owned skytrak & mevo+, I think these higher end ones are worth the investment if your kid is using the machine & the data, especially to practice indoors. Also for outdoors, it’s nice to carry the smaller gc4.

My justification is that if we ever decide to sell them, we can probably get 80%+ of our $ out. Therefore, on an annual basis, it’s not bad to essentially “rent” these for a nominal amount.

Does anyone have any actual points about how the program with foresight works ??

thanks

It's a 3year commitment that requires social media posting 2x a month. The GC4 and GC3 are offered at a big discount, like 40% or 50% or something, this has changed slightly over the last year.  After 3years, the contract is up and you're free to keep the product.

Not real sure how enforced it is, as I know a few that are in the program and they've admitted to hardly ever posting, and no one's ever brought it up with them.
