I’m 58.  I swing my driver around 100.  I am testing Bridgestone currently l did not like tiger’s XS ball at all it wants to work the ball even when you don’t.

i do like the BX and BRX balls quite a lot.  The RX feels nicer to squash off the tee, the BX might be going slightly further but I’m leaning to the RX  excuse it’s close and I like the feel of it.  Both spin plenty with my irons and around the green.

otherwise I love the tp5 and tp5x and will be trying the chrome soft x soon.

if you are closer to 90 with your driver then your results may differ.  Try them all

While is was waiting for my Callaways to come in, I purchased a dozen on the BRX to give it a try given my swing speed of 99 to 102. I was very pleasantly surprised by the BRX.  Could easily have played that ball going forward, but I won 2 dozen of the Chrome Tours in a MG two weeks ago and traded the AI Smoke Driver tee gift for 10 dozen Chrome Tours since I don't need a new driver but can always use golf balls. So I am set for balls for 12 months.

TLDNR/. Really like the BRX for 100 mph as.

Average around 98 mph with driver, played  Qstar Tour all winter and just now auditioning what will be my summer ball. Last year it was Tour Speed but trying out the Chrome Soft LS, Left Dash Pro V1X, TP5X and probably the previous gen BRX. I'm always a year behind on balls, scoop up the close outs of the prior releases. One thing I'm noticing across the board, urethane covers aren't getting any better, for as much as balls have increased in price, I'm tearing them up a lot more than I used to.

In the distance wars, one thing that's been a constant is a slow trend of making the covers thinner, in order to make the core larger.  The result of that thinning is a less durable cover, generally speaking.

Add in the increased attention on wedge clubface friction....   there you go.  🙂

I am 85-90 with the driver. In my last fitting, my fitter told me I need to be hitting high spinning balls. Luckily I had been hitting ProV1x for a while. But before the fitting, I picked up a range of balls on sale to test some different styles. Picked up Chrome Soft,

CSXLS, and ERC Soft. And I hit already CSX Rapsodo balls in the sim.
I gotta say that I like the ERC Soft a lot. I really wasn’t sure I would, but I wanted to try different stuff. When the fitter said I needed high spinning, I was like, “I guess 2/3 of the balls I just bought are out.” I actually like the ERC Soft and CSXLS the best. While the ERC Soft is not a spinning ball, it sure does drop and stop very well. The trajectory must be helping a lot. I have seen zero issues with wedge play either. It isn’t checking up around the green the same, but I actually think I’m liking that better.

I am playing better with the ERC Soft than I have in a while.

It really depends.  For example. Vice Pro and Pro Plus are bullet proof.  It can take a beating and last 2+ rounds with minimal wear and tear.  Then you have the Z-star line and left dash which are more fragile and scuff pretty easy.  As @NRJyzrsaid, OEMs tend to use thinner urethane covers to max out distance and ball speeds these days so something's gotta give.  In this case it's trading performance for durability.
