Me too - but builder sent me away and I had this:  "Golf Shaft Adapter fits tip .335" Shaft, Compatible with Titleist TSR1 TSR2 TSR2+ TSR3 Fairway Woods, TSi Series Fairway Woods, TS Series, 91X Series Fairway Woods. (RH/LH, 0.335")"

Maybe - at 14.99 I reordered.  The Titleist web site says no though, or is at least unclear...  www.titleist.com/.../surefit

Nope, doesn't fit @Wardman, so he was right!

I thought they were all the same, but the driver one has a longer tip on it, so it actually doesn't fit

 

Guess I need to order the right one too!

Yup , pics looked squatty on the FW, but I could not find actual lengths

Had a little time to get out and test for a half hour today. Had a 7TX built tipped an inch at 44.75 playing length in QI10 standard at 9* with hot melt to firm it up. 

 

Feel of this shaft is outrageously good. Extremely smooth, yet very solid/stable feeling no matter the swing. Didn't try to step on it too crazy today, just some stable ones out there to see how it went. 

 

Seems to launch a lot lower for me than expected, had some better launch at the tail end of the session, but still need much more launch. Likely may need to loft up as I love the profile.

Thanks, yea I'm really impressed with the ball speed, spin retention and dispersion on it. Combo feels great and effortless to swing fast honestly. I usually play to the right side on the simulators unless I just realign it to the center. 

 

Yea the launch makes me nervous, that 64 is way too low and I don't want to mess with my swing/AOA too much or I'll get too inside out

I swing 99-102 with a smooth tempo but sometimes I would go for an extra distance. Considering Ping G430 10k with 5S or 6S, I am unsure if S is playing soft to flex in VF. I considered the Tour Chrome S shaft a bit loose. I wonder how much difference there is between 5 in 4.3 torque and 6 in 3.3 torque?

I'd go with the 6S.  4.3 torque is really high for a driver shaft.  Your ss isn't woefully low so the lower torque and heavier weight would probably would be better.  More stable too.

@phizzy30 Did your VF 7TX carry over nicely between last years and this years heads you were gaming? Mine seems to have gotten along much better with the S2 Plus than my Qi10 LS, both of them have same head weight, so swing weight and playing length should all be the same.

 

Need a few more range sessions in it to be definitive, but last few sessions weren't as awe inspiring as they were with the combo of VF 7TX and S2 plus

How was it different.  I have a qi ls on order and was thinking about picking up a vf 7 to throw in it.

I wish I had a launch monitor to help tell my story, my eyes are telling me that "it's just not the same". Maybe it's a me problem too, I'm not ready to give up just yet

Honestly, I've only had one range session and a round with the AI smoke TD so it's still too early to tell.  Ball speeds are pretty much the same when hit off the sweet spot.  Carry seems to be on par with the OG Paradym.  I did notice something though odd though.  I can't seem to hit a fade on demand with the AI Smoke TD, but then again I haven't had enough range time with it to really dial the hosel settings yet.

Qi Ls definitely seems to be lower launch the more witb I see and my own experience. I was 13 all day with same setup in S2+. Deff need the right shaft/loft to get it dialed. @JohnnyHangs deff need that loft & also some rct balls. Same speed at 12 launch is 300 in the air

Yea at the sim I was just hitting their chromesofts they have, I go back and forth between PROVX and TP5X every few months. 

 

Agreed, I don't like closing the face with the sleeve so may need a new 10.5 head - Will test once more first. Even at around 10* launch I'll get the 300 carry, but I do want that 12 window

Definitely agree. Low launch for me too. Adjusted the TSR back to A1 and it’s perfect. With my DF I always had my little cut I could depend on. With the VF it is just a straight ball. I’m playing the VF 1/2” shorter than the DF and it’s longer for sure. Haven’t been on a monitor but I think it’s just a combination of less side spin and overall spin with good launch conditions. The VF is so smooth. Much smoother than the DF and diamanas aren’t known to be harsh. This is a really great shaft and I haven’t been able to play a Graphite Design shaft consistently in the past because of dispersion. This one is tight.

I have only been swinging at around 100-102mph playing the 6X and it feels fine at that speed for me:

 

Still having lessons over the off season and making big changes, so I'm all over the face (see left side) and delivering too much dynamic loft at times too.

No plans to add speed? Maybe get a 6S, I'm hoping to be back up to 110mph by the time the season starts, but it's working fine at lower speeds imo

I think the "Graphite Design plays half a flex softer" thing is kinda true

This is very similar to my experience. Another thing to think about is if you have any indoor swing syndrome, I notice I am still a bit slower than my real top speed when hitting at a sim, especially if it's my first time there.

Not to hijack, but does part of indoor swing syndrome include higher launch? I see peak heights for me and time to time think, "There's no way I hit it that high based on tree height at my area courses."

I've never considered that. I do notice with the sim I have available to me most often (golf in IDRA is the brand name) that my driver will have the occassional misread and launch almost straight up into the air. I find I'm just more aware of my surroundings inside and sometimes don't swing at my 100% speeds mostly with the driver cause of the length. If I can get out with a LM at the range this year I'll have to see how my launch angle adjusts.

Looking at going 6TX tipped 1/2" or 1" to test out. Coming from Diamana DF 70TX, Diamana D+ 70TX, and now Ventus Black TR 6X tipped 1/2". Just want something smoother I don't feel like I have to go all out with every drive. SS right now is 118-120 over the winter but increases a few mph when the season gets going.

I didn’t think it was. I had a 6TX tipped 1 and it felt smooth but stable and I swing a touch faster than you.

If you tipped the VF 1/2 inch what would the torque rating be? From 3.3 I would think it would kick it down to around 3 or 3.1 which is basically the Ventus Black 6x spec. Ventus Fugazi is intriguing though.

I don't think tipping affects torque.  It increases CPM if I remember correctly.

Agree - Took this advice and tipped a 7TX 1 inch and its smooth as butter.

Yea I will need to play with some adapter settings and see where we go from there. Granted on sims I feel like I have days where I just launch it low regardless. 

 

VF is honestly one of the best feeling shafts I've hit, I thought most on here were exaggerating lol
