She picked it out because she likes Romance and her choices were Tin Cup, Bagger Vance, Streets Of Fire and True Romance. I told her nobody does Romance like Tarantino. Which is absolutely true. I think it’s because a player from the Wolverines used it in the NCAA tournament one year and it has been referred to as a Michigan goal ever since.

You are correct, sometimes it’s called a lacrosse goal.  The funny thing is really it should be disallowed because the stick is above the shoulders or crossbar.  More so on the Bedard goal.  Bedard is an absolute stud, and to think he is only 18 years old.

Hmmmmm. Yup. I vaguely remember making some Super Bowl pics and haven't paid ANY attention to them. Or were they over/unders on some teams ? I don't recall.

 

I don't see where the original post was updated to tell us about any "extra" ways to make points, nor were there any weekly reminders that I recall. And I haven't noticed anything in the standings/results.

 

So I posted the "stats" without considering anything but the weekly pickings.

 

I'll add a disclaimer.

Caught the end of the Lions-Vikings game. That was entertaining! Wish the Vikes hadn’t thrown an interception to end it, but watching Jefferson go up and get that pass on 3rd and 27 was awesome!

 

Congrats to Detroit and their fans! First division title in 30 years! They’re the only NFC team to never reach a Super Bowl.

... One of my pet peeves is defensive players unaware of where they are in the game. That defender didn't need a "scoop and score" with under 2 minutes in the game. Just fall on the ball and game over. In the first half a pick on 4th and 2 lost the Lions 25 yds. 🙄 But of course next year nobody will remember either play and I join you in congratulating long suffering Lions fans. Gotta be happy for them.

Once that kid did it, there was a lot of discussion about legality.  I know high sticking was a concern but iirc the reasoning was as long as the blade stays under the crossbar it isn’t high sticking.  I don’t know how I feel on this, but the kid is a stud.  His release is stupid quick and I think his stick is super short.

They were both Super Bowl and future Over total wins for three teams. 

 

 

I have posted both our Super Bowl and our Dark Horse picks twice in the last couple of weeks and I will post them again tomorrow. NCLancer has posted our Dark Horse picks recently as well and his has some of the already in results. 

 

You know for the rookie in the group you can be a touch how should I say it? Overly particular. 

 

I believe most in the group are up to speed on the "Future's Picks" we made before the season started.

... I apologize for venting here but there are few places I can. Since Da Bearz played the Cardinals I got to see the game and after watching some mind boggling scrambles and runs from Fields with ignorant fans absolutely giddy, he did what he often does and struggles passing the ball. Worst 4th qt QB in the NFL for 2 years now and has DJ Moore open on a post with no safety help which might be the easiest throw in football, he chooses to throw to a RB that is double covered in the corner. And then threw it short and was picked off again. Wrong read and bad pass isn't a good formula. Only two more games then I can enjoy Fields amazing running highlights for whatever team he plays for next year. I had given up on my $100 bet the Bears would do better than 7.5 but surprisingly if they win the last 2, I cover.
