Adidas MC80 shoes?

Anyone tried these? They look really good and seem to have very soft leather uppers.

I have 2 pairs of them the white/black and the bone/blue.  I love the look.  They are really light and very comfortable.  The fit for me is a tad bit wider than traditional adidas fit.  Length is typical of adidas.

Damn. I was holding out hope that someone would say that they're uncomfortable and no one should get them. I'll have to try them. How did the other colors look in person?

Hopefully they offer them in wide soon. Love the looks and hearing they are comfortable makes me want a couple pairs.

How are the MC80 shoes holding up?

So comfortable! They are preferable to the Ultraboosts for me because they actually have the support and stability of a golf shoe but still have the cushy boost in the sole.

 

My only gripe is I wish I had sized down/gone TTS - I tend to 1/2 size up in golf shoes and these are big.

 

I wish they'd come out with a couple of other colors in these, but I am loving them.

Sorry, missed this - yeah, I actually sent mine back for a size 9.5. That is actually my true size, but I tend to half size up in golf shoes.

 

For these, that was too big.

Picked up a pair also. By far the most comfortable golf shoe I've ever worn! Immediately walked 18 in them and the only issue I had was my fault, the socks I was wearing were too thin so it was a little loose than I would've liked. With my normal everyday socks which have a bit of cushion, they fit like a glove!! Now to find the black pair.....

Can anyone compare these to GFore Gallivanters? Was sold on those until I stumbled across the MC80. The slightly more modern take on the traditional shoe style has me leaning towards these.

I love mine. I also picked up a pair in black, a half size smaller. A little better fit going a half size down. When I wear the white, I'll just wear a pair of my thicker socks with them. So comfortable!

How thick is the insole that comes with these?  I have wide feet and maybe if the insole is changed for a thinner one these would be money for me...

Best shoes I have, especially for walking. I have 2 pair. the insole is average. These are really good shoes for wide feet.

Holding up great, they're still in my current rotation. No idea on the FJ Premiere, sorry, never worn those.

Just wore my MC80s for the first time and walked 18; fabulous.  As comfortable as my Eccos and more stable.  Not heavy either.

I've had my pair for a few months, I don't wear socks. I wear my regular size 10. I took them on a golf trip right out of the box and walked 36 a day and never had a problem. My feet are pretty tough so I don't usually have any issues. They're very comfortable. I switch back and forth between my Premieres which I have a few pairs as well. Great shoes.

I’ve been wearing spikeless FJ Premiere Fields for the past two years. I feel just as locked in and secure with the MC80s. I’m curious to see how well the nubs hold up over time but they have great grip when new.

I suffer with a little heel slip on FJ Premiere.

Out of the box, yes the MC80 is better in this regard. No heel slip at all.

 

The Premieres should get better with age. The best way is to slide your heel all the way to the back of the shoe, then tie the laces tight. I’ve had two pairs and this is the best tip I ever got for heel slip.  I’m a walker and mine break in after a few rounds. They last forever too - my first pair is perfectly playable after two years and 50+ walking rounds. Not sure if the MC80 will last that long. But they are softer and more comfortable all around when new.

I always walk, probably around 50 rounds in the summer so comfort is a priority. Going to try on a pair this Wednesday and see how they are..
