Just wanted to know if I should even pursue it as a concept, did the concept have any obvious flaws. f*** me for asking right?

Just wanted to bounce the idea around, see if it's even worth pursuing. See if anyone else had found success with a similar concept. I'm a few more failed experiments away from quitting golf.

In all seriousness, I'd say give it a go and let us know the results. Honestly though, I've had more Epiphanies than Gandhi and they all disappeared as quickly as they came.

Are you unable to see a swing coach? Bouncing around experiments is a good way to get really frustrated.

I've tried online coaching and it doesn't work for me. I need someone there with me to ensure I'm doing drills/movements correct. I have tried several pros in my area and I haven't been able to find someone that I mesh with. There's also the money aspect, I have spent a lot of money trying to improve with little to no results.

When you say "mesh"...do you mean finding someone knowledgeable or finding someone who agrees with what you think the swing should be?

I have no idea what the swing should be, so I'm open to anything. It was more personality and teaching style. One guy told stories told me the whole time and told me to get to impact with my sternum ahead of the ball and that's the only instruction he had for me. Another pro set an impact bag inside the ball and had me hit a bucket of balls trying to miss the bag and hit the ball, no instructions. Then stabbed an old shaft in the ground, wanted me to swing outside it on my backswing and inside on my downswing.. Again, no instructions just told me to do it... I hit the shaft and bent my 7 iron... The 1 pro in my area I had success with isn't a pro any longer.

What area are you in? IMO it’s worth travelling if necessary and seeing a really good coach less often than seeing a mediocre local guy all the time.

I had a concept in mind that felt good in a few practice swings at home. I asked if it was a good concept, because if not I wouldn't pursue it. Now I'm done with golf!

The concept you had described was objectively correct. Whether or not it is helpful for someone on any given day is another matter.
