See my previous post…I meant it in regards to the top player starting this year getting a tour card. That change was a direct effect of LIV going after the top college kids

Yeah I think this was a clear case where the Tour gave too much say to the larger majority of its members vs doing what made sense. A lot of the "mules" (h/t NLU) wanted to make it more difficult to join the Tour and protect themselves. And they're only guaranteed that first season, they still have to perform well enough to keep that card.

Realised it’s more relevant to post this here instead… the Q-school for both PGA and LPGA do seem to collect lots of fees from dream-chasers… but how else to get sufficient funding to organise these Q-school events?

Players were told yesterday. I imagine the fields will be posted this week on the bluegolf sites

With a quick look at our club's list of players I noticed Devon Bling. Not only has he played at Big V a million times since UCLA practices there quite often but he also won an AJGA there as a junior golfer. Too bad for him that between his graduation and the upcoming 2nd stage the course went through a complete remodel (minus the greens) that included adding 300 yards (now 7,300) and a crap ton of bunkering that is now in their landing zones off the tee.

That tweet is mislabeled. All the players listed were medalists for the KFT Q-School finals for their respective years and not PGA Tour q-school.

the pga tour q-school is the kft q-school just rebranded and reformatted to include 5 pga tour cards as well as tour americas memberships. however my point was that if medalists for kft q-school were successful they wouldnt be back trying to earn 1 of 5 tour cards they would have earned cards through a full season of kft.

+5 thru 2 so going to need about -2 total to get through. Nothing but 20-30 mph of wind and rain for the first 2 days and tomorrow looks worse. Not an ideal scenario for q school but just gonna have to grind it out

Yeah, I'm staying about 5 miles up the road from there.  It has been horrible.
