Best driver for slight toe strike

Golf manufacturers have been designing high/toe side CG’s for decades because that is where the overwhelming majority of golfers tend to strike the ball. Callaway started it with the GBB.

Assuming the strike is in fact "slight toe" I found the TSR3 with the weight in the toe to be fairly solid on toe side center misses

I haven't tried the Paradym Triple Diamond. My comments were referring to the standard Paradym.  I do wish I would have tried the TD in my fitting ... Same with TSR3.  The fitter recommended standard Paradym and TSR2. I wish I had been more insistent on trying both of those.

Any driver where you can shift weight toe side will be best. 

 

Stealth + and 2+

Paradym std

Tsr3

Aerojet ls

 

Higher moi heads should also perform the best.

Same issue for me with TSR2, although in fairness i wasnt fit for it and tried to make a direct jump from TSi2 only to learn they are very different animals.

Were you fit with a premium ball or a range ball?  I've had situations in the past where I've learned any fitting with a non-premium ball like what I would game is not just a waste of time, but usually a 600+ dollar mistake.

The range balls shove the spin window 4-500 rpm's higher, then you get on the course with a ProV or TP5 and anything near the toe becomes unplayable and falls out of the sky.

As others have mentioned, the sliding toe weight is beneficial. It can help turn the low left ones into more of a manageable push-draw

Fit with Chrome Soft X but I play ProV1x (sometimes a B X, to me they are similar on driver).

 

I was hitting it middle but high on the face and my aoa was basically 0-1 up. 9.75* of loft but 117mph swing I was getting bomb balls. Fitter sells distance... So with a little less swing speed bc I'm not in peak condition right now PLUS the toe ball, my spin really tanks.

 

I'm going to try tsr3 first and if it's not what I need, then I'll try a g430. Not into paradym bc the shape is just yucko. Forgiveness and speed was great but I hated sounds, looks and feel. G430 wasn't a bay winner because of spin... Fitter tossed it fast but I find higher spin for me is what plays on the golf course. I LOVE my 7w and I think it's bc the high spin helps keep it up in the air... And it's still very straight.

Been a while for me to thow my hat in the ring on here.  I am a pretty much since i became a scratch player my miss is high toe, so this thread is right up my ally!!  so in the past i have had all the low lofted lowest spinning heads, Superdeep was won of my favorites for sure.  I been struggling finding a driver after my M5 went south, last year. i did demo a Cobra areojet ls for a little bit, was super inconsistent then one day i looked at it and it is vary narrow in the toe section.  So i was youtube shopping... LOL and watched all the new titleist tsr videos and for me the tsr2 just stood out from what i was hearing a seeing online.  so lucky for me the proshop had a 8* in stock, playing it with a hzrdus gen 4 6.0 for now.  But what i really wanted to touch on is like most others have said the retention of ball speed on the face of this driver is insane!!! and i just played yesterday and some of my deep ones are always just toe side high on the face! So i agree with everyone else here who has said this is a very forgiving pretty low spin deep face driver IMHO!  and i play -prov1x

So I have a good bit to offer on this subject in particular. My last driver was a tsi 3 and I switched to a tsr2. Both have hzrdus smoke black shafts. My tsi 3 was stiff and I went to x on my tsr2 to bring launch and spin down since I would spin at 3000-3500 and apex like 130-150 on my tsi3. Got my spin, launch, apex down going to the x stiff and the tsr2. Tsr3 gave me similar numbers with the xstiff but decided maybe the 2 would be more forgiving. Having said all that recently I was testing the vice pro plus ball. Lower spinning than my normal pro v1 slightly. Spin in the middle of the face is 2000-2200. I have hit a few slightly high slightly toe shots with it that absolutely knuckle and go left like crazy. I’ve seen it on course and I’ve seen it on my simulator. I’ll attach a good example. I didn’t get this nearly as bad with the prov1 although it still can happen. Never had this issue with my 3 but again it spun more since the shaft wasn’t right. I have no idea why the tsr2 does this sometimes. I’ve thought about getting a tsr3 to negate this. Hard to be in the prime window of 2000-2200 spin then you barely miss middle and go slight high toe and get a 1300rpm knuckle.

I don’t know but I didn’t see this on my tsi 3. It doesn’t happen a ton for me when using a prov1 but when I use the vice pro plus it does. I’ve had it happen 3 times in one 18 hole round. Enough that I have thought about changing my driver because of it. I’m glad I’m not alone in this finding. And I’m glad I’ve been able to record it on my launch monitor so it’s not just a theory.

I’m still stuck on regular Ping G400. My miss is slightly high toe. Clubhead provides enough forgiveness to provide a low/mid draw with significant rollout.  I’ll take it.
