Which wedge would you choose ?

Hi WRXer's,

I'm torn between two wedges and want to know which wedge you would choose ?

The choice is between Cleveland CBX Zipcore and Callaway Jaws Raw Black Plasma W Grind with a 12 * bounce.

Both are 56 degrees and have the Project X Catalyst 80 gram wedge shaft.

I hit the Zipcore on average about 3 yds further. Both feel great when hit in the middle of the club face. I really could go either way on this and want your input.

You must have a slight preference, and if you could go either way, trust yourself, and pick one.

Flip a coin and if you feel like you want to make it 2 out of 3 then you've probably solved your problem. Turf interaction and flight for me. If you use your 56 frequently around the greens then concentrate there.

I would go with Jaws Raw plasma simply because they look better than the CBX since both of them are pretty much spec'd out the same.

3 yards further? Not relevant. I suspect you’ve been hitting them off a mat , which doesn’t truly replicate the conditions on a course. Can you take both out and play with them?

No, I can't take them outside to test. You are correct that I'm on a mat. I'm not sure which is better in the sand as well. Ill try to get the playabiility guarantee. I need to practice short chips with both and then decide.

Callaway has an excellent warranty. You can turn it in within 30 days for a store credit; Callaway has a ton of stuff to use it on. I've used a $5 UPS shipping coupon for returns.

Whichever one that allows you better control of your ball from all shots 30 yds and in. Which one allows you to flight your ball better, in the conditions you normally play. 3 yards total distance is immaterial in a sand wedge.
