Odyssey Double Wide -- Ai-ONE vs. White Hot OG -- different toe hang?

I might be missing something obvious here ... but I'm curious about the discrepancy in toe hang between Odyssey's recent Double Wide putters.

I'm looking at the specs on Odyssey's website, and the White Hot OG Double Wide is listed as having zero toe hang. The Ai-ONE Double Wide, though, is listed as having 20 degrees of toe hang. (The Tri-Hot 5K Triple Wide, which is a similar shape, is listed as 15 degrees of toe hang.)

These all seem to be the same shape, with the same double bend style of shaft. Is there something different about their shape or design that leads to more toe hang in the newer versions?

COG locations on the heads probably vary by a mm or two thus changing the shaft axis point. Or the heads vary in size ever so slightly due to the different materials/build of each putter.

I wouldn't dig too deep into a 5-10° toe hang difference it won't be that much of a difference for 95% of users.

Toe hang is determined by the shaft axis intersection in relation to the cg. Most of the time this is manipulated with the bend height of the shaft (higher for less toe hang). Below is a great illustration from Ping of the same head with different double bend shafts to achieve different levels of toe hang:

Additionally, while both double wide models, the shapes are different which could impact the CG location (OGWH looked like it had a slightly shorter blade length and slightly wider back flange vs the AI One when I compared them in person).

Happened to be at PGA SS today and remembered this thread, so I took some comparison pics for those who are interested:

That OG is way wider definitely will see a difference from that alone.

Sounds like a manufacturing tolerance thing.  Odyssey says they're supposed to be face-balanced, and I don't have any toe hang in mine.

Yeah maybe, I got mine from the official Callaway store in China. Fakes and sorted out products are common here from flagship stores.

It’s mostly just an arbitrary design choice by Odyssey. Odysseys double-bend, DW, models have ranged from 0*-30* of toe hang through the years. CoG will have a slight impact on toe hang (the more forward the CoG, the more hang), as well as the insertion point of the shaft (hosels closer to the heel of the putter, and inside the CoG, will have more to hang).

If u look at the Trihot5k triple-wide for example, you’ll notice the double-bend shaft/hosel is quite far away from the heel-side in order to achieve 0* toe hang. It’s a large head from heel-to-toe, with a forward CoG, which is why the insertion point of shaft/hosel has to be noticeably far from the heel to achieve face balance - otherwise there would be quite a bit of hang

(i’m including the last Toulon Chicago as a DW model, which has the 30* with a double-bend)
