Did I just buy fake Taylormade RAC CB irons?

Got these cheap so after not finding a serial number I'm pretty sure they are fake. Can anyone confirm?

Does anyone have a genuine set of these? Does your 5 iron have a serial number?

Not extremely familiar with these--never played TM irons. But I doubt these are fake. There is way too much wear on them for them to be a low quality counterfeit.

They're definitely not common. The "Coin Forged" combo set is more common, but only the longer irons were cavity backed. Those ones say "Coin Forged" on the hosel instead of "cb". You can read about that set here. Also, this particular CB set I am after is allegedly the set that was initially forged by Miura, at least according to a golfwrx article I read. They refer to them as the "RAC Forged CB" irons and indicate that they were released in 2004. Others have said that not every set was made by Miura, though. That part I don't really care about, just hoping maybe they are real. But given that history I figured it's not a stretch that they would be knocked off, since they used to be pretty desirable it seems.

Still, I thought all Taylormade irons had serial numbers, either on the 5 or the 7, or I've occasionally seen them up by the grip on the shaft, rarely.

Thanks for the input, though. Really hoping someone with a genuine set of these might chime in. I figure they must at least be forged given the wear, so good point. They swing great.

They aren't worth more than about $ 50 bucks at the most so move on.

I don't have a set of the CB's you're interested in, but I play a set of the original rac LT's from the same timeframe--love that era of TM!

I think most fake clubs are pretty clearly fakes in one way or another, these don't look outwardly suspicious in any way. And if these are Miura forged, you'd obviously feel the difference between a dud and the real deal.

Where did you get them?
