Maybe I’m the only one, but I really like the Pure Roll inserts in the Spider Tour Black (gray insert) and the Spider X (all of them), especially on quicker greens. I’ve always preferred a putter on the softer side though. 
 

ETA: For the record, I wouldn’t mind trying the aluminum milled insert to see how it compares. The aluminum “bars” on some of the previous Spider models weren’t my favorite, but a solid milled aluminum is interesting.

Hard agree, I had the white insert version of this putter. Used it on a trip to Florida back in November, I loved the true vis sight line on the top, but the feel was horrible. I rolled some great putts, thought about keeping it, but the feel threw me off too much. I'd love to try it with a different insert. I love my old Nike method blade insert, and used to love the white hot insert on my 2 ball growing up.

Hard disagree. Obviously it's personal preference but I absolutely despise how how "soft" putters are. White hot is an insert I just cannot get along with.

Nah the inserts are actually pretty nice. 

There's a reason why so many college golfers game some variation of the spider. 

Obviously it's personal preference though.

Truer words have never been spoken.  I gamed a Spider for a little bit but could not get over how awful it felt.  Absolutely love the change here!
