Very true. When I was younger there wasn’t a lot offered left handed with golf equipment. My buddies were more for lack of offerings than hand me downs.

That’s me.  I do everything lefty but golf.  Lefty clubs in the early 80s, lol, nope.  Play rightly or not at all.

 

edit:  I didn’t see a left handed golf club until high school and even then they were a pieced together set by that kid.

I'm one.  Got told, "You hold the club in your left hand!", Nobody had heard of Pete Cowen then, lol...  Of course too, used golf equipment was a lot easier to find in RH in the 80s.

We all have our homies...and it's tough to parse out loyalties in the SEC.

 

I'll occasionally find myself rooting for LSU when they are playing UGA. But, it's tough to ever root for Florida.

 

Ole Miss and Miss State remain sentimental underdogs. While, Vandy and South Carolina tend to kill everyone in baseball. 

 

But, at least we can all agree that the University of Alabama sucks. 🙂

My son is LH and the only thing he does RH is golf. Nothing to do with lack of equipment. RH just felt right to him and it happened organically. A blessing really 😂

No kidding. Tusalossa might as well have been a Titleist billboard when I was in school. I lived an hour north of Miami for six years too, and given the elderly contingent in the area (not necessarily Miami proper), I saw a predominantly Callaway and Ping products in most bags. 
 

He’s done a fair amount of charity work with veterans and PXG definitely has a good reputation among the service members I know, so maybe that has something to do with it. Or his general lack of vanity and understated disposition.

I don’t think I ever got angry at all. Maybe a joke about a salty breeze rubbed someone the wrong way? I mostly spoke to Tua’s situation in Miami and a fairly boring WITB. 
 

If I had wanted to poke fun at anyone about football, it wouldn’t have been hard. I could have just pointed out that Vols pulled out a big 3 point win in Knoxville in 2022 to avoid going 0-17 against Alabama since 2007. Or that the Gators haven’t beaten Alabama in 15 years, including 4 losses in the SEC CG. How bout Tim Tebow though, am I right? 
 

I usually tend to leave AU fans alone. Too many friends and family that are alumni and fans for anything for it to actually get heated, so it’s mostly good natured fun with good people. That stadium is cursed though. Who even knew you could return a missed FG for a TD before 2013? Is it legal to bounce a pass off a defenders helmet to complete a pass and score a game winning TD? Who has time for quadruple OT? If it hadn’t been for an extremely lucky last play TD, Alabama loses in JH again this year. Unlike the UF and UT games, it’s actually stressful to watch. 
 

But, I digress. It’s a golf forum, so there’s no need to talk about playoff appearances, national championships, Heisman winners, or successful NFL players (except Tua, because this is his thread after all). 
 

Side note - they just expanded the playoff to 12 teams and are already pushing for 16, so y’all will get your chance to play in a postseason game eventually. I hope you get to enjoy them as much as I have!

Not unusual for lefties to play right handed. Spieth would be a good example.

 

I'm as left hand dominant as you could possibly be and I play golf right handed.

 

I played right handed from the time I started around 4-5 years old until I tried left handed from around 14-16 (and a few random times after)

 

I can't generate any clubhead speed left handed. I hit it fairly straight but could barely drive it over 200 and my short game was awful. 

 

Outside of a couple of bouts with the shanks for a few months over the years I've always been a pretty good wedge right handed. I'm not a long hitter but when I'm playing well I can get my club head speed in the low 100s so it's a significant gain vs trying to play left handed.

 

I also had absolutely not ability to put left handed. Being extremely left hand and left eye dominant makes putting left handed a nightmare. 

 

I've peaked around a 6 handicap a few times right handed and that's absolutely no s*** I could have ever gotten to single digits playing left handed.

 

When I originally tried playing left handed it came somewhat naturally but now if I ever try to hit a ball lefty it feels almost impossible to do.

 

About the only left handed golfing ability I have is to turn a right handed wedge upside down and chip out of trouble if I'm playing a tournament.
