Scotty Cameron TOUR ISSUE: Classic Scotty Cameron 3x Chocolate 2001 Newport Beach

For sale is my rare, 2001 Scotty Cameron, Tour Issue, 3x Chocolate Newport Beach putter. I bought it back in early 2003 and gently gamed for about 10 years, off and on. It's been in my office for about the last 6 years, or so. While it’s, obviously, not new or in perfect condition, as you can imagine and see in the pics, I cared for it, meticulously. For those who remember, it's made of carbon steel, so with this finish, it does require a baby oil wipe-down from time to time, and has an incredibly soft feel to it. I believe it was a 330 – 340 gram head with a loft of 3* but the factory will measure and verify that if you choose. Also, I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think Scotty even offered the cert service back then. I began the process to have it sent back to the factory for refinishing and certification a few years back when I stopped gaming it, but life got in the way. That makes it a perfect candidate for that service if the buyer chooses, however, I guarantee it's authenticity. For complete transparency, I paid $3500 for it back in early '03. I did pull the shaft in late ’17 and put a heavier black True Temper shaft in it, along with a SuperStroke Ultra Slim 1.0 grip, thinking I may game it again, but didn’t. However, I can throw in the original (new) black Titleist Scotty cord grip if you want it (pictured).

While the Newport model's shoulder styling has changed a bit over the years, I've recently seen restored versions of this (or similar versions) going for $5,000 and up. If the timing worked better for me, I'd send it in for restoration myself, then sell it, but due to some immediate and unforeseen medical bills, I'm going to part with it and leave it's future to the next owner. It does include the "Tour Only" CT original headcover it came with, as seen in the pics. As such, I'm only asking for $1950 shipped and insured. Please, no lowball offers, as those who really know, know what it's worth.
