Did i find a rare gem

So long story short, found Ping Jim Wells anser 2. Havent seen one in person until now, i found at a local play it again sports. Did I find a rare gem? And if you know much about them let me know

Very nice, made in 2002 for an LPGA tour player. Unusual sightlines. Ping may be able to tell you who it was made for and the specs if you send them the serial #.

Paid 100 dollars for it

Pings with those tungsten weights in the face, they usually feel pretty good.

That is awesome! I have the same head but with a slant neck style (similar) 1/2 shaft offset that's just a bit too much toe hang. Wish I had one with the plumbers neck and dot!

That’s three surprises for me in this thread.  One is the Play It Again priced an older Ping putter at $100.  Second that someone paid that for it without knowing if it had value. Third that someone can tell from the serial number that is was for an LPGA pro.🤔

There is a separate PING serial number lookup thread floating around somewhere on GolfWRX. The PING database contains all the special info on specific putters if weird stuff was going on with the build - I'd assume that includes tour pro names when applicable. I have looked up serial numbers in the past for odd putters and the name was given to me even when it was a random stranger. 🤣
