A Story About Wedges

As some of you may know, I've transitioned to some new wedges over the winter.

Long story short, I ended up with something of high quality, but a bit different than what I have used most of my golfing life. Here's where the story gets interesting...

 

Holy crap have I struggled with the new wedges. Long. Short. Flub. Shank. Semi-decent. Shank. Pulled. Months of this crap. 

 

The more I tried to solve the problem the worse it got. Couldn't trust them at all. Bladed chips on the course!!! Holy jebus...

 

A lesser human being with more money might just chuck 'em and buy something different. I happen to be cheap and stubborn.

It's amazing how a return to fundamentals can make pretty much any piece of golf equipment work properly. 🙂

In the hands of an experienced and skilled player, a wedge from a bargain bin will work just as well as a wedge hand ground by Bob Vokey himself (assuming the grooves on both wedges are equal).
