Mizuno MS-3 Reshaft

Hey all, I've recently acquired a set of Mizuno MS-3 irons that I am looking to reshaft. Was wondering if anyone knows the specs/shaft diameter that should go into these?

I am assuming .355 but I do not want to assume wrong, tried looking up specs online but could only find info on loft/length/lie/etc. 

 

Also anything to lookout for in reshafting older Mizuno blades (such as with ball bearings in some Ping irons)?

Easy enòugh.355 tips might be small weights in the tips for swingweighting.

Most likely 0.355. Shouldn't be any problems removing the shafts. One or two might be stubborn, but I've managed to remove heads from two or three sets of old mizens using just a blowtorch and an oven glove.

 

While I don't do the reshafting myself, the guy I usually ask has never had any major problems with shafts not fitting or wildly uneven hole bore depths.

 

A couple of old Mizuno sets I got reshafted. First, Masters Tournament Models (US MS3 heads) with Attas 110X shafts:

Most of the time I just get the shafts extended, then bend them to my preferred lie angles.

By the way, unless you know the shafts will be an awful fit for you, or the shafts are rusted and pitted beyond redemption, I find it's usually a good idea to first hit them as they are just to get a feel for them.

 

If the grips are hard and slick, choose one club and wrap some tennis grip tape around the grip (I usually choose the 7i for this), and try it out.

 

You may find that the original shafts aren't that bad, or are OK but just need extending. Might save you the money of a full reshaft.

Awesome, thank you for the replies guys. Sounds like usual standard stuff, I've done reshafts once before so should be no issue pulling/adjusting weights.

Those are dope looking sets No_Catchy_Nickname! I'll definitely be taking them out for a swing before proceeding, cost shouldn't be a problem though as I'm planning on pulling some NS pro shafts from my Eye 2s that I don't use anymore and sticking those in. Thanks for the advice!
