Ventus shaft broke at tip

Hey guys!

Quite devastated right now, my favorite club in the bag just broke.. the shaft snapped in the tip on the down swing ( late in p6 ) 

 

it was my beloved FW7 and the shaft is a ventus red 9x.. I’ve had the shaft since march and I bought it brand new. I’ve been in contact with the retailer who sold it to me.
 

He said that Fujikura probably won’t replace it under warranty.. He also asked for the serial number and when I cut of the grip I found out that 80% of the label had been cut off since it’s fw7 length..

 

Just wondering what’s everyone’s opinion on this. Anyone else had similar snap and got it replaced?

Things probably won't bode well for you as Fuji's not covering most shaft failures unfortunately.  I've never had a Ventus fail on me before and I've had several of them over the years.  However, one of my weekend golf bud's broke his last year and Fuji refused to honor the warranty even his broke around the tip area.

Thanks for your reply 🙂 I’ve had some ventus shafts as well.. all of the preowned ones I’ve had have been great. This is the only one I’ve bought through retailer brand new.. really disappointed since this was like.. the crown of my bag.. the dot over the i..

 

I believe theres different rules for warranty claims before and after 6 months.. since the shaft is approximately 5 months old.. maybe I could have some luck.. 

 

I’ll let you all know, if Fujikura don’t honor their warranty, then I’ll have to look for different manufacturers.. I do enjoy the Tour ad vf..

Good luck trying to prove that breakage was caused by a defect. I'm pretty sure that's how most claims get denied.

Fujikura doesnt care where it broke they aint gonna replace it, given the responses in that other thread 😂 It seems you have to be in the perfect window of purchase timeframe, from an authorized dealer with proof, and in a breakage spot they deem within their warranty areas.
