Arizona WRX'ER Roll Call

Date Set April 26th....Pairings are set!!!!

Here is the deal, I have had the pleasure to play with a few Wrxers already, and I want to know if there is interest in getting a mass Az WRX'er golf outing going. I was thinking of late April so we could play a decent course and not get gouged on price.

I wanted to know from all of you on how much interest there would be for doing something like this. I would have no problem doing most of the organizing getting course tee times and date all lined up, and try and drum up some donations for prizes etc. Not sure on the format yet (open to suggesitions) Would like to stay away from scramble format if possible. Keep the old faithfulls of long drive, closest to the pin and an optional skins game.

Please reply and let me know if you would be interested in doing something like this and what a comfortable cost would be for the round. I would really like to get it set up a decent track and would not mind paying a little bit more to do so. I am serious about getting this rolling and would really like to see enough interest be able to see it come through.

Im down man. What are the prices like in April? Have they started to drop a bit by then? Im not rolling in the dough by any means but I'd probably pay like $60(which is alot for me lol). Can we play at a course that allows walking?

Awesome glad to see some responses. Depending on how many more replies we get in the next few weeks Ill start checking around for courses, and once we get it set ill try and hit up some of the site sponsors for prizes for the day. I am also open to course suggestions. off the top of my head I was thinking of checking prices on the following, Eagle Mountain, Legend Trail, Longbow, Tpc Champions(usually really good rates for residents 43$ to walk), or any other hidden favorites that you all may have.

Southern Dunes out in Maricopa has smokin deals quite often. Poston Butte is not bad too. Legacy has been offering good deals lately.

 

A little travelin, but Estrella and Vistancia offer nice deals.

Malasuerte Legacy is not a bad call. So is southern dunes they have a great facility that could host us, not to mention an outstanding course, and the price should be right if everyone doesnt mind a bit of a drive.

We can probably do an Arizona vs Southern California during fall or something. :)

Awesome loving the ideas so far, If all goes according to plan myself and Medicapitain are playing Southern Dunes a week from tomorrow and I will check with them on pricing and what they can do for us.

Grayhawk does a bunch of specials usually around $99 per player or less as he year goes on. Colin Oas is the internet marketing guy .. Anyting up to 150 works for me but certainly will be guided by "comittee decisions> all this just info for now

That is what I was thinking, I am going to shoot for the $50-$75 range(or lower) at first and see what that gets us and take it from there.

Also one of the reasons Southern Dunes may work out. The price may just be the best price we can get for the nicest course. Once I get some info back in the next few weeks Ill keep everyone updated.
