That makes sense, the irons shipped to the UK probably come direct from Japan, which comes stock with the lighter Nippon shaft, the true test will be to see what the std length is on the UK irons. The US and JDM irons have different head weights to accomodate the longer standard length in the US and heavier shafts and still keep the D2 swing weight.

Hello Dan,

On Srixon-US-webside are the same length as JDM. 5i=37.75 and PW=35.25 (which is pretty short). Is this a mistake?

And how long last a custom order. In December I´m only 14 days in Florida and the Z-TX irons are on my wishlist. I hope Srixon will handle custom orders within 14 days incl. shipping.
[/quote]

That is the correct length then, they must have made all of them longer for all markets.

37.75 is the standard length on the Cleveland 5 iron, where as with the 701 Tour the 5 iron last year was 37.5", so to keep everything consistent the length was increased 1/4"

As for custom orders, yes they should take 2 weeks custom, the challenge will be finding a place that carries them. This ZTX release is going to be very limited in the United States, high-end green grass only, since this is the first time the same Srixon product has been released in Japan and the US, it will also carry a more JDM price tag. But on the flip side this is hands down the best release of Srixon product the US market has ever seen, for those who are not familiar first hand with JDM product you are in for a treat.

Thanks for answer, can you name a retailer in Orlando/Florida, who carries the Z-TX line.

Hit the ZTX yesterday shafted with DSS300 the same as my current set back to back with the titleist CB & I'm trading in my 701 tours ASAP.

The biggest difference I felt was how soft they felt on impact compared to my 701 tours.

Now I want to try them out with some nippon superpeening orange shafts

Yes , it was shafted with a diamana blueboard "made for srixon"

Sits @ address very nicely & was solid but i'll be sticking with my TEE XCG-V & also hit the driver with the same shaft & I would say it was solid, i would really like to hit both with a different shaft . I'm off to Japan in a couple of weeks & see listed on Tourspecgolf the the stock shaft is a Motare speeder which I'm looking forward to trying out. If I get a chance to I'll post how it goes.

Cheers for that. I use an XCGV Tour spec, and it's a great head, but this Srixon head just looks perfect at address to me.
