Ironically enough, after seeing this thread for the first time I was at a local used sporting goods store. Picked out a couple good finds and went up to pay...what do you know, there's a Hammer Super Pro sitting behind the desk...asked how much...got it for 15 bucks. Even has the Aerospeed shaft.

This thing is hilarious. Sounds nasty, feels nasty, I actually don't hit it too horribly...which shocked me.

What's the deal with the shaft? Is the one you guys are flipping around equipped with the flat shaft? Did we ever figure out if this sucker is legal?

Hamm claims to have driven 8 par fours in one round and shot 72. Didn't know people that drive it over mountains need to play on 4000 yard golf courses...I guess yelling POW doesn't so much work on the greens...

Didnt you know that if The Hamm ever learned to two putt, he could earn a million, a million and a half on tour.

Hit The Hammer last week in FL. Teed it up with one of these -> [url="http://www.4yardsmore.com/"]http://www.4yardsmore.com/[/url]. My uncle was taking me out on his course so I show up and we walk into his garage and there it was...there they were....the hammer driver and its accompanying 3 wood. My jaw dropped. Then I looked around and couldn't believe my eyes. My uncle has every piece of golf equip ever advertised on TV....literally. Anyway, I hit my Geek about 5 yds farther than this club. If it had a bit stiffer shaft I think it would have been about the same. Def not a 400 Yd club though.

I thought I was on the list for THE HAMMER in Houston, but I guess not! In any case, I went and played today and wonder of wonders, one of the older guys has THE HAMMER. Not "this" HAMMER, but his own HAMMER. So I tell him to get it out of the truck and we take it out to the course.

I can honestly tell you it was the worst club I have ever hit. I was looking forward to popping it out there and just having some fun with it, but it wasn't even pleasant to hit. I hit it once, and it was a solid hit, but the club just sucks. My other buddy tried it too and once was enough. Just garbage.

If anyone wants one, I'm sure this old guy would sell it for cheap. For those of you who have never hit one, you aren't missing out on anything. Go get an empty soup can and tie it to the end of a flat stick and you've got the equivalent of THE HAMMER.
