I know there seems to be a distain here on the forum for components for some reason but I love making/building my own clubs, whatever though, different strokes for different folks.

Check these out though, Hireko/Dynacraft's new BLACK Prophet "blades". Look sweet as hell IMO, will def nab a 6 iron to try out against the MMB I just did the same with, can't hurt...and who knows, I may just like 'em.

My first irons were Dynacraft and they were quite nice.

These look very solid. According to their add, they will be ~$20 per head.

They sell for 19.95 a head from what I saw. Pretty cheap, I wonder if the QC is there and what they are made of?

They are more than likely .370, I have built and used several of their clubs and this seem to be the case.

That looks very nice.... I think you'll like the MMB. It looks kind of cheesy out of the box with the paintfill, but remove it and it's a good looking iron. The top line is a little thick and it's a bit oversized, but it's quite easy to hit. I actually had a set of them last year and I moved to the Nickent 3dx pros that you're playing now.

Yeah, it was an on a whim pickup to play around with. I love my 3DX's, the only thing that might unseat them is the Ping Eye 2+ heads I just nabbed...I've wanted a set FOREVER and with heads I can build the set to match me (and break many peoples cardinal rules of letting ping do the work) so I'm sure bias will play a role in the battle for the bag.

+1. With the slot in the muscle, this is not a true blade.
Not that it really make a huge difference though, as long as it looks good and hits well. However it may not be fair to compare this with other blades.

Does anybody know more about Hireko / Dynacraft?
How tight are their manufacturing tolerances for weight, loft and lie? Are they combarable to Golfsmith / SnakeEyes or Wishon components?

I am serious thinking of picking a set of these up. Our range balls are so old and sh!tty, and they never get washed either. They really do a number to my irons.

For the price I could use these to beat balls at the range when I need to hit balls. Plus the aren't they like $19 a head! Can't beat that.

I still get a supplement from Dynacraft shipped to me a couple times a year. I think their stuff is hit or miss. These obviously look nice though.
