UST don't recommend tipping for the driver with the Axivcore green. Rather, they suggest going up a flex or weight. Since the Axiv material is in the tip section, it's understandable. See for yourself:

How fast do you swing? What driver do you currently play? Shaft?

There are some many questions that an fitter needs to help you out. These are just the first 2 or 3.

That makes sense, Axiv material is in the tip section so tipping is not recommended.
Thanks

My swing speed is around 95 mph average, if I really swing hard on a wide open hole, it gets around 100 mph. I am experimenting with several drivers.

I also believe that I need to see a fitter, but I was wondering what is generally done on this shaft.

This is one of the lowest launching and spinning shafts around, I hope that your swing will be enough even at a stiff in this shaft, and you probably won't get the same distance you would with a slightly higher spinning/launching shaft.

Don't take any notice about not tipping due to Axiv in the tip SP. They don't recommend driver tipping their Axiv Red or Black and nor do they recommend it for their stocko old V2. They simply don't allocate extra tip for bore thru's and the like, unlike, say, a Pershing.

I've not hit this yet to know if it's stiff to flex etc. The 9015D has a slightly longer than standard BBGM.

Thanks everyone for all the concerns. I just installed the shaft without any tipping, 45" and around D4 swing weight. I went to the driving range and hit the driver about 70-80 balls with it, everything was just fine.
I didn't really expect any distance gain with this change, but I wanted more consistency from lower torque and heavier shaft. My recent favorite has been 2009 Burner with 46.5" shaft which gave me 250-ish carry, but with a lot of dispersion.

This new combo, 9015d with Axivcore Green S-flex seems to be working just fine. I could constantly hit a similar distance with much smaller dispersion, mission accomplished.... for now.

I will post a follow-up after a couple of rounds.

Thanks.

I just got curious what my swing speed really is. The last time I had a launch monitor session was about a year ago, and average was 95 mph.

So my average drive is around 250 yds with 45" driver, with 46.5" driver I used 1-2 club shorter irons for the second shot, so I think it was around 260-270 yds drive.

For this kind of distance, 95mph SS sounds about right?

This is a quick follow-up.

I brought out my new driver yesterday, played 18, and I was very happy with it. By happy, I mean the club was exactly what I expected. The distance was about the same with my other drivers, 10-15 yards shorter than 46.5" 2009 Burner, the dispersion was very tight so I mostly stayed on the fairways.

I agree with some comments that this head and shaft might be too much for my SS, but the trajectory and amount of backspin was just fine, although it might not be the best for me.
