My bag, only been playing 3 months..

Hey guys, just wanted to post my bag and say that I love this forum and it's an awesome place to keep up to date on all that is golf. I can't wait to pick up a set of scratch wedges when I become better and know what wedges will fit me. Here is my current bag, it's all off the rack and forgiving. 2009 Burner Irons w/ graphite shafts...4-pw, sw

52 degree GW Taylormade TP smoke wedge (awesome club)

60 degree Taylormade RAC LW, a few years older

R9 3 wood and 5 wood standard graphite shafts

R9 TP Driver.. ( paid 299 shipped, even tho I can't hit it at 5'8") prob need to get fitted?

 

I use a r9 glove and one of my part suppliers actually gave me a sky caddie for free as part of a promo for doing enough business with them. I've only been playing 3 months and prb. 18-22 handicap. I usually rock the Ogio Syncro bag and the adidas tour 360 ltd shoes are awesome. my putter is a simple white hot blade # 1 You can prob. guess where I went to college, haha.

I started with a Walmart set too but quickly upgraded. Nothing wrong with it.

I was going to comment on the Brietling, though I am a Sinn wearer myself.

My putter?? God no... It is pretty awesome. I went the other way with the work thing. I worked on golf too much so I took my determination for golf and put it into the classroom... haha.

The only gripe I have is Bed Bath and Beyond?? Haha

I appologize, Golf is the only thing that keeps me sane after a 60 hour work week. I picked up the putter cover because its nice and I don't own a cameron becuase it'd be a waste in my hands. Didn't mean to even throw the watch out there, I live in a place where only Rolex raises brows. I appeciate the joking around tho, this forum is really cool.

Something you will learn from being on the board, there are a lot more putter out there then whats in your golf shop... Mills, Machine, Byron, Mannkrafted, Sunset Beach, Bettinardi, C&L, Palombi. Those are just a few of the custom putter makers... A lot more out there than what you see on TV... But Scotty makes great putters to.

This and PT are my golf fix while I am in school. You might want to stay away from ebay and the BST section on the board for a while... Just a warning..

whoa buddy, I did not mean a "ho" for real, I meant club ho, it's a term used here almost religiously for guys who buy and sell clubs like it's nothing.

I'm guilty I've been playing for three years and have gone through 4 drivers, 3 hybrids, 5 iron sets, 6 brands of wedges, 3 putters and lets not get into golf bags (which #6 is coming up soon)

Husky, no one here should show you ill will for your hard work and love for golf, and if they do and do it repeatedly, they are usually shown the door, this is a safe place to share your indulgences and if someone crosses the line with their opinion its usually because their jealous.

Great setup you got, good luck with it. Sidenote, that appears to be the chronomat evolution (reading on my iphone so my pics are small). I'm an evolution owner myself, best watch I have ever had. Good choices all around.

Thanks guys, I play south of Boston...places like Olde Scotland Links, Pine Oaks sometimes, Lakeville country club, some short par 3 courses as I feel it really helps the iron game and club selection for regular courses. Uconn..haha when I went there football was bad and bball we were national champs. I think I hit my gap wedge farther than my driver haha, I can hit the 3 wood past 230 but I prob. need to cut a few inches off as I'm only 5'8"?

I started with a $50 set (Nov 08) my gf found for me on her work intranet and very quickly upgraded to Ping I10s (Mar 09)

thnkyou, I got 2 of those tour 360 ltd at like 119 a piece during close out so I lucked out. I would put myself at around a 20 as far as handicap, there's snow on the ground right now otherwise I'd of been playing today.

MCCA, your probably right :0! the scratch wedges and putters alone I've seen on here make me want to change my bag, thankfully I'm not good enough yet so I can hold off, and as I said earlier there's snow on the ground right now making it easier to hold off.
