2iron in 2010 and 2011 etc.

titleist cb 695 17° loft
I would like to have matching px7.0 shaft but that shaft is hard to get for a single iron only; they only sell those shafts as a set and therefore, X100 (see sig) as alternative; (same applies for my storng 3 iron 19° CB 695 (see sig) when I go 4 wedge set up and 2 iron out)

may be in the market for a new 2iron 710CB w/ PX 7.0 though

It´s funny - today a baged the 2&3 iron of the cally proto´s instead of the FT 2&3 and suddenly the the proto´s were longer and straighter than ever before - that game make´s me crazy

I've given hybrids a pretty good chance, but I still have an old Callaway X-14 Pro Series 2 iron that I can hit more consistently off the tee or deck than I can hit any of they hybrids I've owned. Hitting it from the rough is not much of an option though. I think part of it is that for years when I was younger I carried a Ping Eye 2 one iron to hit off tees and sometimes on par 5s. If I could find a 19 hybrid that I could hit as well as my driver, I'd bag it.

My 2i has an S300, and the rest of my set has a S400. The only reason is because I have had the 2i longer, and my previous irons had S300 in them, and since I dont use the 2i often enough, it is not worth the effort to re-shaft it. Plus, I hit it plenty well as it is, and you know the saying, if it aint broke, dont fix it.

i´ve got the 2iron of the proto´s in px 5.0 (3-P in PX 6.0 flighted) so it comes airborne easier

I tried to everything I could to get a 2 iron to match my AP 2 set but they were available for tour only. Now I'm switching to MP-68s and they don't have a 2 iron either. If they did I would gladly bag one...I love my 3 iron. For now I'm going with and Adams A7 17* but would love manufacturers to at least offer one as an after market option to finish sets. I can understand not doing it on GI sets, but for players cavities and mbs you'd think there is still a market.

I have a 1-iron (KZG ZO 15°). It's always in my bag but I mostly use it for practice (if I hit this guy well, I can hit anything well).

When I'm in the mood, I'll sometimes replace my 5W with the 1-iron for games.

I carry a titleist 670 2 iron that is bent to a 1 iron. I bag it every round. this year i took it off the tee on the first playoff hole in a tournament i was in. a little nerve racking

I used to switch off between a 2 iron and 2 hybrid, but this season I'm going with Driver, 4 Wood, 3 Hybrid as my 3 longest clubs. I will still keep the 3 iron handy, but don't plan on using it unless it is a very windy day.

PX Flighted 6.0 in my 2i and Standard PX 6.0 in 1 iron. My backup set of MacGregor 1025 custom grinds will soon have PX flighted too.

I played 670's including 2 iron bent to 17* from the time they were introduced to switching to my current clubs. They are find clubs. Hit'em well.

Same shaft for me in the 2 iron for consistency's sake.

Generally the same holds true for the 1 iron too, but I'm currently bagging a club with a different shaft that I put in as an experiment earlier in the year. It's a good deal lighter (around 30 grams), but is around the same flex as the shafts in my iron set. To be honest, the jury's still out on whether it's staying put because of the change in feel versus the rest of the irons.

I know some people advocate going to a slightly softer shaft in the longest irons, but for my own clubs I'm not a fan of doing so.

I tried softstepping my 2 iron, big mistake. I play the S300 in it just like my 3-LW.

My 1 iron has the stock ZZlite, it frequencies at 7.3 You really have to step on this one to make it go, but when you do, man there is no other feeling like it.

Will likely switch this one over to a S300 as well.

I´m ready for 2010. Sorted my long irons and the conlusion is Cally proto´s 3-P PX 6.0 flighted and 2 iron CallyFT Fuji stiff GRAFIT shaft!! Works perfekt for me

Love my Eye2+ long irons, they're not going anywhere.

I usually carry the 1i and kick out the 2i in favor of the 60* wedge.

Same shafts as the rest of the set.

If they had made a 2-iron in the Mizuno MX-25's. I would pay a fortune for it. I would rather hit a two iron over a hybrid or fairway wood. Used to be able to carry driver and then 2 - LW with my old wilson fat shafts.

TM r7 TP 2-iron with DG X100. Love this club, but I have recently thought about trying out some hybrids. I figured that if 99% of folks are doing it, there must be something to it!

I have Callaway FT 2 and 3 Hybrids, but still bag my Titleist 690.MB 2 and 3 irons dependent upon where i'm playing. For example: wide open fairways - the FT's are good, but a nice tough challenging course - i game my irons. I'll never give them up - they may not be as long as the FT's, but they're surgical...

Bingo. I carry a TA3 2 iron that I hit from the tee and from the fairway (If I have room to run it up onto the green). It is far, far more accurate than a FW or Hybrid for me. It also always goes straight or draws a bit. If I mishit a FW or hybrid, it could go either way, which makes me INSANE off the tee. I'm I'm not hitting driver, I better be in the fairway.

FTR, I also carry a 20* hybrid that covers the same distance, but I can play it from the rough and when I have to fly the ball all the way to the green.

I play Titleist 710mbs 3-pw with X100 shafts. I tried 5 woods and hybrids for a while, but I'm now back to the 2 iron. I picked up a Cobra Pro CB 2 iron and couldn't be happier. Same shaft as the rest of the set.

Play a Titleist Tour Model Forged 2 Iron (19*) from time to time. Hitting it isn't the problem, but hitting it better than my FYbrid is. Goes in or out depending on the course and the weather.

Just added a Cleveland CG1 Tour 2 iron to go with the rest of my irons. 18 holes with it and I hit it 4 times; 3 with great results and pulled one 30 yards left, but that is my bad miss with all clubs.
