Jan 10th AZ WRX pairings

So here we go, these are the pairings. I picked the groups by splitting up the walkers and the riders, then also by tee box choice, then drew names from a hat. I tried to get it so everyone is playing with someone new, but some groups came out pretty stacked. To draw the time slots, I numbered the groups 1-5 and pulled them from a hat. First tee time will be at 8AM with the next group going out approx 10 min later.

Let me know if that works for everyone. Tee times are rough estimate assuming theres no frost delay or anything like that. There are free practice balls, and I'll have bagels and stuff for a breakfast snack, so feel free to show up early to hang out and bs for awhile, get to know everyone. We'll have a cheap little skins game if anyone wants to get in, and Im still waiting to see if we'll have prizes for the closest to the pin and longest drive.

 

I'm also planning on putting together a ghetto yardage book for every group/cart, mainly for holes 6,9 and 13. Let me know if you guys have any questions or concerns!

Ive been to AZ twice,and after playing a little all around the globe its probably my favourite golf destination on Earth and somewhere i have really great memories of.

-3 here as i speak and most courses in the area have effectively shut themselves (Or been officially shut) since mid December.

Ohiogolfer, its your call as far as what tees you want to play from. I think your group is playing a mix of the back and middle tees, so whatever you feel comfortable with.

SWEET! It should be a great time. I'm glad we are playing early...I'm sure I'm not the only one who has a biological need to watch the Cards game.

It's funny, I literally hadn't touched my clubs in over a month. Today I went out to the range to see if I could mange to hit a few on the face and was surprised that I hit a bunch of decent shots. I'm still trying to S&T it a bit so maybe those feels help simplify for me or something. I'm glad TMAP2 is going to be there...I'll make him take a look and gimme some help. lol

We'll go over the skins game on Sunday morning before everyone tee's off. Im not sure how much everyone will want to pitch in(completely optional), and I'll ask Matt to help me with that since he set it up last time and I've never played a skins game.



And Vince, I shot you a PM, theres an open slot now in group #3, a walking group. Let me know if that works, I dont want to have to scramble the groups at this point and in all honesty, a 3 some isnt as big of a problem as a group getting stuck with just 2 people. Theres a few guys that initially said they would be there but they never confirmed despite a few PM's, so hopefully they dont decide to show up. If they do..well... then cool.

Ok, got some last minute emails and Ive got to talk to the CC manana and give them new numbers. We'll either have 2 groups of 5 and 3 groups of 4 OR 2 groups of 3 and 4 groups of 4.

Please check the thread frequently, we are getting down to the wire and Ive got to give the course FIRM numbers so from this point on tonight, there will be absolutely no more add ons or late additions unless Ive already responded to your PM's. Thanks guys, excited for the weekend.

Looking forward to it! I walked/carried 54 holes last week then went skiing Saturday, so my legs are starting to get back into shape... Ahwatukee is a pretty easy walk so I can recommend that for anyone thinking about it. Heck, Mark and I played with a 72 year-old woman who walked the front 9 with pull cart.
