Scottsdale: Grand Hyatt at Gainey Ranch + Golf

I'm planning a trip during that time.. anyone familiar with the facilities? We're getting free rooms, just curious about the hotel and golf, any suggestions? How's the weather typically during that time?

And also, any WRX'rs want to get a round in?? :drinks:

Can't offer any reviews of the hotel, sure seems nice... only been there for brunch.

I should be down for sure on one or two of the days, I am thinking maybe splurge on one round like Wekopa or Troon, medicaptain and I have been wanting to play quinterro to. Then play something good but not a bank breaker like vista verde or tpc champions on the other

Gainey Ranch at the Hyatt actually looks nice, you guy played it? I might be able to see if I can get a discount (girl works for Hyatt)

Gainey Ranch is a very nice course, I like it a lot....obviously not traditional desert but good golf. I am in if you schedule something..keep us updated.

I like the Gainey Ranch courses. I've played out there about a dozen times (but the last time was a couple years ago) and I always enjoy it out there. The courses aren't terribly difficult and it's a shorter resort style course, but they have plenty of fun holes out there. It's not target-style desert golf so it's a nice change for us locals. I'd recommend it if you're staying at the resort. Great pool area at that resort too.

And maybe you'll see Charles Barkley out there. If you ever saw the Haney Project with him, Gainey Ranch is the course Barkley lives on and they filmed some time with him on the range and course there.

Hey guys I had a cancellation for tomorrows early am round at wekopa saguaro. If anyone wants to join myself Pure and Fore_life we have a slot open at 6:50am I have the Wekopass so cost is only 65 or 63 bucks. If you are interested please let me know by 3:00pm today.
