Slipknot Pinnochio Rocking the TP B's...

Buddy of mine who plays in the band Slipknot, touting his famous Tour Preferred B's this afternoon for his opening round here in Iowa. He loves these irons so much that he's got 2 sets for when the 1st set wears out.. He's about a 6 handicap, and won a celebrity 2 man with John Daly last summer- no joke! :jester:

thats awesome i grew up in northeast iowa love slipknot. i remember watching him play on the live dvd. looks like he cut his hair. where do yall play at?

Played Hyperion today, mostly TCI and the Harvester in Rhodes IA..I'm not too into their music, think I've heard maybe 2 songs ever- we're just golf addicts like most of you..!

at the range a few weeks ago a guy next to me had "heretic" blasting in his earbuds, I could make out every note. After a few minutes he asked me if he needed to turn it down, really nice dude. I said "no, im just blown away somebody out here besides me has slipknot on their ipod". Thats crazy awesome he's playing the B's. I had a buddy see their first Ozzfest appearance and said it was incredible.

He's not the drummer that broke his hand (arm/leg whatever it was) last summer and canceled the tour, is he? I was really bummed, we had tix for their show here, but they canceled 2 weeks before.

Pretty cool he is a golf fan and knows his gear well. I think its great that so many musicians are avid golfers...i know I would sure not want to be holed up in a tour bus all day. I have a lot of respect for those guys, not an easy life to lead.

I lived in DSM for several years but bever got a chance to play Hyperion. Harvester was done after I moved. I need to visit for a golf trip and play the courses I used to. Sad to see Ponderosa was sold for development. When my dad and I wanted to get a quick 9 in, we'd go there.

I like Slipknot ... but I can't listen to most of it on the course or in practice because I already suffer from trying to overswing and to fast of tempo!

Pinnochio is cool, well he just got cooler in my book, but my favorite is the lead guitarist, Mick Thompson. Guy is awesome.

I met Chris a few years back at a golf tournament run by Morgan Rose from Sevendust. Chris was cool as hell - not your typical rocker - plays golf, said he doesn't drink or do drugs. Just an average guy who happens to be in a huge metal band. And I was front row when they played in Atlanta a few years back, they put on a hell of a concert. Good golf swing too.
