callaway 20* heaven wood or the Callaway x-tour 2006 19 degree 5 wood. Both rock. Get a slightly higher flight with the heaven wood...depends on the situation which one I throw in the bag.

When I started playing golf in 2007, I bought a Ping G5 5 wood from a second hand sporting goods store just to see if I could still hit a golf ball. I had lived across the street from a driving range in 1973, but hadn't picked up a club since. The first shot was dead straight and into the woods which are something over 210 yards from where I hit. I think the confidence from that shot has kept carrying. I have changed the shafts a number of times to progressively stouter ones, and it just got better each time. It puts the ball on a wire out to 245 with a VooDoo XVS9, and it's still in the bag. I have more confidence in it than any other club. Our home course has two dogleg holes that I hit it for two shots to the green.

I was a late adopter of hybrids, but eventually replaced my 2-iron with an 18 degree Idea Pro. However, I kicked it out this year for an 18 degree 5-wood. I like the steeper angle of descent for shots into par-5's.

Haven't been able to find a 5 wood that suits my eye or shot requirements, but I am still looking. For now, a 19 degree J36 hybrid works pretty well.

An "old" Orlimar HipSteel that has been in the bag before and since I gave up on hybrids. I use it as the goto advancement club on par5's out of the light/medium rough or fairway when I'm unable to reach in two. Also on several long par4's at my home course which have uphill approach shots that can play 2 clubs longer.
It's been a permanent fixture in the bag for some time now and not going anywhere.

it's a 18 degree Cobra Baffler hybrid TWS. Great all around hybrid that gets the ball up fast through any lie and lands it softly - great for approaching greens from afar and very reliable like a good wood or hybrid should be.

906F4 18.5* w/ GD Quattro shaft. It plays very similar in forgivenss and elevating the ball to my 17* 909H, but just a little longer (10-15yds) for me. Not as accurate though.

Sonartec HB-001 19* hybrid with bassara shaft....been playing since they came out better than any 5 wood I've ever hit and longer.....my go to club on tight holes and off the deck....can hit it anywhere from 225-240 off the deck and 250+ off the tee....pity sonartec went out of business...
