New 2007 Callaway X-tour Iron Prototype Pics!

Does anyone know where you can get these and how much a set would be reasonably priced?

 

 

You can not get these yet. They are in the prototype stage right now. I would keep your eye out on E-Bay. We should see a few heads pop up in the next couple of months.

 

Last time these X-tours were launched we were all scrambling for 6 months till Callaway finally launched them to retail. Less than 10 sets were available to "Joe Public" before launch.

I did a search on Google for them and I believe Golf Galaxy? is taking pre orders on the XTour 20's for $799.00 plus tax, shipping etc...

 

I called them and a guy stated that it would be after the PGA show Cally would start sending out the orders.

 

The site listed uniflex, I asked about that... The guy stated that they did not know what shaft was considered the stock...

The x20 tours will be stock with project x flighted, same with the X Forged (name according to Callaway brochure)

What is amazing is the amount of Staffers that are using them. How many have switched so soon...

They are not big. I played in a pro-am with Jim Dent back in October and he had them in his bag. Very nice looking irons at address. Not much offset and not too large. Very nice looking sticks to my eye.

Soft huh? Tell us more. I have heard the same. Very solid feel.

I have been hitiing these for the last few weeks next to the Nike Full Cavity Proto and the Splitback and let em tell you they are soft...As soft as the full Cav if not softer. The Split has somewht of a unique feel to me very soft and responsive.

 

I have a set of Tour issue r7 forged that I got straight from a Tour player and they are very soft, but I love the X forged proto set. ;)

 

Currently have 2 sets of them one x100 and the other black golds...Leaning towards the blackgold right now! The Combo harstepped X is just silly. Ball climbs flattens and drops the exact distance you think.(similar results with R7 forged Black Gold for me) Even in the wind and lets face it it has bee as warm as 70 and as cold as 40 here in New England lately with 10-50 mile per/hr winds and these flat out perform...

 

They truely are unreal. I love the way it looks at addrerss the most....mid to high ball flight and long not unruly long, but you can hit knock downs super easy soooo workable and they are spot on distances.

 

Where they have positioned most of the weight is ideal for the feel of these things...A real winner.

There is no way. They probably make a 2 iron and I would say definitely a 3 iron.

I've seen a 2 and 3 iron. The 2 iron in prototype form will be very very difficult to come by. Only a handful of those even exist.

Not sure on the public release date yet but my boss received a set directly from Roger Cleveland 2 weeks ago, and let me tell you, they look and feel fantastic. He was told this was the first set to go to any non touring pro in the country.

Although both Edwin Watts and Golfsmith buyers told me to look for them on FEB 15, Callaway yesterday in an e-mail to me said Mar. 15.
