SM C130.

I have that bag too... It is on the BIG side. For me it does not stand well on its own at the range, even with their metal bag holders. I does sit on pavement fine... It is ok for cart use and does have a good size cooler pocket. However, for me the problems at the range caused me to move to the Titleist hybrid bag. I will use the C-130 on extended golf trips though... it is a nice bag with good storage.

The Ogio ones are nice. If you're looking for a cart bag, then definitely I'd suggest going that route. For stand bags, I would recommend TaylorMade.

Any specific Ogio models you recommend? I was looking into the Assassin, but read a few reviews...apparently it can move around a bit in a riding cart, and also isn't very stable when standing upright.

I have a C 130 that I will sell cheap. It is only one season old, in great shape red/black. Highest rated cart bag in 2009/2010 and retails for $180+. I need to walk more (docs orders), so purchased a stand bag and need to unload this beauty. PM me if you have interest.

I have the ogio atlas. the thing is a behemoth. It has all the bells and whistles and more room than I need. I would suggest that you add to your "features list", putting wells. The atlas has two and I use them for my putter and my wedge ( i often take both with me when not quite on the green). I also considered the C-130, also and excellent bag.

  • 2 weeks later...

I recently (10 hours ago) bought the Taylormade Supreme Hybrid 2.0.

I was looking at the OGIO Grom, SunMountain Four5, and the TM.

I very quickly eliminated the OGIO because my previous bag was an OGIO and unfortunately the 2011 line has the same crappy leg problems that my 07 bag had. That being the legs barely stick out and more times than i care to count my bag has fallen over and the sound of my clubs crashing to the ground is never pleasant to my hears. Literally the base with the legs extended looks like there is not stability. Also, its freaking heavy!!! While i ride or use a push-cart most of the time, i do walk randomly from time to time and i just dont like how i play when my back is tired from carrying a heavy bag.

As for choosing between the SunMountain and TM... ill be honest i was 100% torn between the two bags...

the TM has like 9 pockets and the SM only had 8 (big whoop right? ) .5 points TM

The SM has full 14 way divider (so each club has a full divider to the bottom of the bag, the TM only 14 way divider up top but 3-4 clubs share a liner.... 1 point SM

the TM has easily removable carry straps and a pocket to put them in for when u put the bag on a cart... .5 points TM

the SM has MUCH BETTER padding on the carry straps (SM makes bags for hardcore walkers) ........ 1 point SM

BOTH have very good leg/ sturdy bases when the legs extend..... 0 points

TM bag has a putter well, and as a matter of fact it has a really good one, i cant explain why but i really like keeping the putter away from all the other clubs... its just me but this was huge for me... 2 points

The guy at the store said the quality of each bag was exceptional... yup, even the TM bags are getting awesome reviews.. TM is stepping up their game... and well its clear that SM bags just plain solid bags and always have been.

so at the end of the day the TM bag won by a single point...

I had it on the course today and loved it... took everything from my old bag and swapped it over and had TONS OF SPACE LEFT! and the bag didnt really feel any heavier than my old bag...

hope that helps... though i fear it may just make you more confused. lol.

here is a pic of the bag

Question for those using the Bennington Quiet Organizers. When you load the bag into the car do all the clubs fall out of the slots or do they stay in place pretty well?
[/quote]

I've been using a Bennington Quiet Organizer cart bag for about 5-6 years. I really like it.

I lay the bag on the back seat of my car when I transport it. I lay it strap-side down. Depending on the location in the bag, most irons stay perfectly positioned in their slots. Those at the "edges" or sides of the bag stay in their slot, but pop out SLIGHTLY and the clubheads turn or rotate to the side.

When I pull the bag out of the car, the woods and hybrids want to slide out of the top. (I generally pull from the bottom of the bag). However, if you pull the bag off the car seat from the top, the problem no longer occurs.
