Looking for Push Cart Recommendations

Folks-

 

After walking/carrying my clubs for many years, I'm ready to give in and get a push cart. I'm looking into Caddytek's 13.5 and CaddyLite One, Tour Trek's One-Click, and Clic Gear's 3.0. I know Clic Gear is highly thought of but does anyone have experience with the others? Ease of use, features, and price will all play a factor. Much thanks in advance.

I have the Clicgear 3.0 and it was worth the money. If you get it, you have to get the wheel cover. It will save the trunk of your car from a big mess. I havent tried any of the others on your list. The cart will pay itself off pretty fast given the money you will save on cart fees.

Not sure about the others you mention but I'm very pleased with my Clicgear 2.0. In use for two years now and I have no real complaints. A lot of guys at my club use the Sun Mountain carts as well but the Clicgear is slowly taking over.

I bought a Bag Boy Auto SE from TGW a little over a month ago for less than a hundred. It's a one step fold as well. I would honestly think about one of those before considering the Tour Trek. I looked at them at Golfsmith in person, and was not impressed with them at all. I agree with the posts above, the Clicgears are probably the top-notch ones, I just couldn't pass up getting a very nice one for under a $100.

Did a bunch of research and just purchased a Clicgear 3.0 - couldn't be happier...difference in price is minimal in the long run...

Couldn't be happier with my clicgear 2.0, it's freakin awesome. Super easy to fold and unfold and it was the only cart that fit in the Camaro I had at the time. It ends up paying for itself over time as well since you are paying for electric carts anymore.

If you want something maintenance free, go with ClicGear. Sturdy, dependable carts with lots of accessories (optional purchase).

I did find the Sun Mountain carts to roll better, given their air filled, narrow tires. But in the end, I was tired of having to check the air pressure of its tires and fill them up before rounds.

The ClicGear's tires are plastic and wider, so they offer more resistance and don't roll as freely as the Sun Mountain's.

But convenience was my priority so I switched to ClicGear.

Thanks for the help gentlemen. I've been reluctant to get a push cart, but most all in my group of 20 or so use them and I'm finally converting. I just ordered a ClicGear 3.0. Thanks for all the help!

I know its too late for the OP. but in case anyone else is considering getting a push cart, I have a clic gear, a sun mountain v2 and a bagboy quad cart. If I had to keep only one, it would be the quad cart. Definetly my favorite.

I've tried the sun mountain micro cart, my wife has the speed cart v1 and now I have the clic gear 3.0...no contest, get the clic gear 3.0...best push cart for a few reasons:

1) Folds up and is very compact.
2) The speed cart might roll a bit better, but you don't have to fill up the tires with air once in a while with the clic gear.
3) Lots of accessories to add on.

My favorite push carts / trolleys:

Clicgear 3.0 (in all white , white with white rims )
BigMax Ti3000 in white (got this one instead of a clicgear 3.0 because I have a staffbag, which doesn't fit on a clicgear 3.0)
BagBoy QUAD > Sun Mountain Microcart for a few reasons: adjustable handle, easier to fold / unfold than microcart.

I just picked up a Clicgear 3.0 from GG. Got it for $150. They only had a floor model so they gave me 10% off and I had a $40 off of $200 coupon.

I will second right lefty and recommend the Bag Boy Quad cart. It came down to the 3.0 and Quad for me. I went with the Quad for stand bag accommodation and ease of fold and unfolding. However after one round with the quad I knew my carrying days were over and went and exchanged my stand bag for a 2011 sun mountain c 130. Phenomenal combo with the Quad cart.

Another vote for Clicgear 3.0. Just got the white one and couldn't be happier. After years of carrying, I couldn't believe how much energy I have left at the end of the round. As mentioned earlier, I also recommend getting the wheel cover.

For the folks with the Quad (which I saw for the 1st time tonite), do you feel that it keeps the bag in a more upright position rather then say a 35* tilt like most 3 wheelers? I love my golf bag but it's a royal PITA in the the 3 wheeler I have now because the tilt makes getting the clubs on the bottom row a PITA. If the bag was more upright I would be fine. I would like to hear what people with 14 way divider bags say.

Yes, the Quad does keep the clubs more upright. That was a key selling point for me because at the time of purchase I had a stand bag with a four way top. having the bag more upright allowed the clubs to go in and out easier. As I said in my earlier post I now have the Sun Mountain C 130 and they work great together.

I've got it narrowed down to the 3.0 and Quad. What did you like so much better about the Quad?

Sorry I didnt see you question untill today, hope its not too late. The quad is smaller, lighter, more stable, easyer to fold and unfold, has a nice little bag under the push handle to keep your stuff out of the sun or rain better than the clicgear. It keeps your clubs more upright making it easyer to take them out and put back in to name a few things off the top of my head. I just think it is better in every way actually.

Thanks rightlefty...I am actually leaning more to the Quad once I look more at it. Seems like Clicgear gets a lot of good comments but I like the features of the Quad.....easy to fold, bag sits a little more upright, like the pouch and seems to roll pretty well. A couple guys have the SM Micro but I like the Quad better. I really like that a stand bag fits in place good. I'll still maybe carry some so don't have to worry about the bag twisting on the cart.

Love my Quad it is a great cart and I highly recommend it. The quad is easier to take down compared to the micro. I think it pushes better too especially in the rough.

considering the quad. how will large cart bags fit? appears as though the sides, if filled with golf stuff might brush against the front wheels.
