My first try at a custom paint fill on my new Futura.

Since the MLB Playoffs are starting up, I figured there are no better colors to go with than my beloved Detroit Tigers!!! After doing a lot of research, everything was going as planned until I decided to fill in the circles on the top. They were unbelievably hard to get right. I've got several other putters to work on now but I'm worried that I'm gonna start buying up tons of putters just to keep up my habit. All in all it was so much fun!!! Hope you like.

[color=#1C2837][size=2]Tbomb.....this putter was sent back in to Titleist/Scotty Cameron because the face had to be changed since it's a long/broomhandle putter. The original face was deemed non-conforming by the USGA and R&A. The "Approved" stamping is done after the face change. This link should explain it all:

Yeah I really wanted to customize the existing headcover by bleaching out the threads and using a blue and orange sharpie to bleed the color into the threads. Unfortunately, the newer Scotty headcovers use non-fading threads so not even bleach will take the color out. Kind of a bummer but I understand considering the quality and cost of the headcover. I did color match the pivot tool that goes with it though.

Thanks a lot.....much appreciated. Yeah, if you're looking into the translucent Tamiya paint......pick up the ones that say "Clear" before the color. Otherwise it will be the the flat color.

I just put the head in a bowl of acetone. Everything comes right off....quick wipe down and you're ready to paint. You can pick up acetone at any drug store by the nail polish remover.
