I saw Norman up close at a recent US Senior Open and saw him rip a young female photographer that was walking with his group and it was totally uncalled for IMO. That is my only personal experience with the guy but it formed my opinion of him. He appeared to be a dbag.

When I was younger, I used to volunteer at several PGA events during the SoFla swing for many years and had several unpleasant "experience"s with him, directly and indirectly. He was easily the most disliked among the volunteers, year in and year out. More than enough ammunition for me to form my personal opinion....yes HUGE DBAG!!

I agree with all this from my experience as well...

Back on topic, I think Tiger is playing quite well. If the US were going to sit him out at all (which I doubt), it would have made more sense to do it in the Foursomes rather than Fourball IMO. Same applies for Allenby with the Internationals.

I'd be giving DJ and Mahan a rest this afternoon. Tougher call on who to sit out for the Internationals, but I'm guessing they will go with Ryo and Allenby.

I will be most interested to see what the Internationals do this afternoon. Do they pair Yang and Kim and maybe put them up against Watson and Simpson and maybe sacrifice a match or just hope to get lucky, or do they split them with more experienced players and hope they can make an impact?

As Brett Ogle on the coverage here had just mentioned, and it's been on my mind since the beginning of this comp on Thursday, how bloody good would it be to see the Europeans added to an ultimate event to take on the very best US and International side.

Add the likes of Donald, McIlroy, Kaymer, Westwood, Poulter, McDowell, Clarke, Garcia, Anders Hansen, Dyson, Bjorn and Jimenez.

Anyway, interesting pairings for this arvo. In some ways you had to keep Woods and Johnson in the mix, but glad in some ways to split up Els and Ryo. Having Adam Scott and Els may be a blessing in disguise. Not sure on having Kim and Yang facing Woods and DJ.

I'm a Londoner and my GF is Aussie. Two years ago when I worked the Senior Open at Sunningdale, my GF wanted to get a quick autograph from Norman. She had an Aussie flag drapped over her shoulder, had acknoledgement from Greg's caddie, had a quick word with him to see if he'd sign for her, and he stormed off before his round a good 45 mins before his tee off.#

Several hours later, we watched him up 18, waited for him to finish his round, tried to get an autograph afterwards, and the man just didn't want to know. What an awadd he was that day!! The GF was really miffed by his attitude to say the least.

As a Phil fan it's tough to hear Couples say that, "Phil asked to sit." But Phil knows his body and health best and it is probably a good idea given his arthritis. It's been great to watch Phil and Furyk playing well. They still have some work to do right now though.
